I have all those guys as well as the ones that fired. If I wasn't going to be near the top post-Roubaix it was never going to happen. I will enjoy my 15 mins of fame and watch the fight for the top as I start my descent back into mediocre mid-field :D
You better not descend. Most of your good riders are my good riders but you do have Quintana and some others where I have sky bottle carriers.

i think it might be at least 3/4 of an hour of fame. I reckon you've got about a 500 point lead after today.

Really?

I only really have Gilbert for the Ardennes though, literally only about 3 or 4 starters including Andy :D Seriously, I had a lot of Classics specialists who won't score especially heavily from now on. I don't expect to stay near the top for long unless we see a Chaves - Rujano - Cobo Giro podium and a Quintana - Barguil - Geniez Tour podium.

Well, discounting Andy, I'm not sure there are any Iglinsky or Gasparotto type riders in the game this year to score massively (over their cost) at the ardennes. you've a 500 point lead over 2nd place and 1000 point lead on 20th.

i'm not saying you've got a top 10 finish wrapped up already, but you should get a few 'days' in the yellow jersey.

(Quintana is slated to ride FW and LBL and I wouldnt put it passed him to get a decent result at one or both of them.)

Three guys in the top 20 fo me today, Vanmarcke 2nd and Langeveld 7th Breschel 15th. Decent PR for not having picked Cancellara :D

Still a lot of people will have a much better PR probably, because of Cancellara.

All in all the classics season sucked for me though, Vanmarcke injured most of the time, Nuyens injured, Hushovd sucks, Pozzato sucks.....

Only Langeveld did more or less what I picked him for.....

Here I was thinking Vanmarcke + Pozzato would make up for Cancellara, I've been quite wrong :(

Now on to my next big gamble - not picking Gilbert, hope that one works out a bit better......

I'ld be happy with that as a tour podium. Ideally with quintana in 3rd as I don't have him

Runs on the board counts for a lot I think.

Looking at my team (yeh, bad example) I can't see how I can catch up to you as Quintana is my ace but you already have him. With the crap being turned out by Pinot, Taaramae etc there's it's looking doubtful that they will get the 700+ expected of them.

It may just be the way I'm looking at it but it doesn't seem like there are many sub-300 picks who (on their performances this season) have shown they are capable of reaching 600-1000.

Update 13: will10 is a runaway train

Week 13 will be remembered as the week in which will10 destroyed his opponents like Cancellara destroyed the field in the cobbled classics.

With points from Cancellara, Quintana, Vanmarcke, Stybar and Langeveld, will10 amassed a mindblowing 1154 points this week. greenedge with a very good Pais Vasco and points from Quintana and Porte came 2nd with 978 points this week. Both incredible considering the average of 442 points.

This week's top scorers:

1. will10 - 1154
2. greenedge - 978
3. keithmcmahon - 891
4. cineteq - 869
5. jaylew - 846

Very adequate as Nairo Quintana jumped to fame and honor in Pais Vasco, this week's high jumper is NairoQ, as he moves up 39 places. The competition is fierce, though, as 2nd placed al_pacino jumps 38 places and 3rd placed sykkelerbest moves up 37!

This week's high jumpers:

1. NairoQ +39
2. al_pacino +38
3. sykkelerbest +37
4. Martin +34
5. keithmcmahon +32

As if will10 didn't already impress enough this week, he's also our new leader. And not just our new leader - he's our overwhelming new leader with more than a 500 points lead to The Hitch!

Even if will10 has drained the competition for exitement for the 1st place for a moment, the rest of the top 10 is probably closer than ever before. Only 56 points separate 2nd from 4th while ingsve in 10th place has only 152 points to 2nd place!

I'm sure the next few weeks will be very exiting!

Top 10:

1. (+6) will10 - 4623
2. (-) The Hitch - 4076
3. (-) Dim - 4072
4. (+15) greenedge - 4020
5. (+6) *Falze* - 3983
6. (-2) bicing - 3963
7. (-1) Geraint Too Fast - 3953
8. (-7) ironted - 3943
9. (+4) Gotland - 3929
10. (+5) ingsve - 3924

Rank 14 and 62 points behind number 10. Now that the cobbles are done I can only look backwards

With: Cancellara, Roelandts, Vanmarcke, Breschel, Langeveld, Stybar, Stannard, Thomas, Van Keirsbulck, Chainel, Nuyens, Hushovd I had quite a few guys for the cobbles

It's always nice to see how 70% of all your carefully selected riders still don't perform at a decent level, and that only Ciolek and Roux have significant profit.

Only a miracle can keep me in the top 100 now.

Thanks for the update Hugo. I'm still afraid to look - Breschel finished 15th in Roubaix, and might have been my highest finisher in a cobbled classic. Although in Pais Vasco my best finisher was Pinot in 40th place, and that might be my best placing in a WT stage race since Australia.

Oh, and it was Pais Vasco, not Catalunya last week Hugo. Not trying to be picky, just probably wanting to be right about something as I've been so horribly wrong about my team...

At least I'm second in the youth game!

Happy that i went well. I am worried though that Quintana/ Porte are my only big name riders scoring but hopefully Goss can be improving by the time the Giro comes and Gilbert dominates in the Ardennes and also the tight leader board. Congrats to Will 10.

Back in the top 10 for the moment at least. But once the major stage races start my team is fairly weak compared to many others. Unless Fuglsang finds some major form soon.

Well my plummet has ended and now starting to work my way back up the leaderboard
I really not sure where the rest of the points I need will come from unless Weening somehow manages to win the Giro. If Goss and Kittel step up and get a bunch of grand tour stage wins I might be in with a chance.
Looking quite light on the stage race GC, hopefully Pinot can find some form or it is all over. Still hoping from some good points from Cam Meyer if he can recover from his time out

Back in TOP100 :D

Congrats to Will10 on his amazing week. Bold prediction: Will10 will NOT finish in TOP10.

Thanks, and I agree. It's gonna take what, 7000 more pts to get a top 10? I don't see where they're going to come from in my team.
