Coquard was good this week and Le Bon seems to have find some form. Plus, Feillu and Rolland are starting to show signs of life. I might still salvage something from this season afterall despite the fact that AGR was disappointing (but seeing the results I guess it's the same for everybody).

Congratulations to those who picked Kreuziger and the one person who picked Ruben Plaza, they will probably fight it out for best score of the week. It's a shame nobody picked Mourey though, as he seems like he will end the year as a very good pick.

Well, at least I'm glad TGBM is doing his thing in the Ardennes, despite a non optimal preparation. But since he was the only pick I had that earned more than 5 points today, it isn't looking like a good week to me. Hoping I can hold onto 44th for the fourth week, due to Rolland and Coquard earning me some points earlier this week, but I doubt it, since most have at least Gilbert. :D

Congrats to those picking Kreuziger though. Also Kwiatkowski appears to be an awesome pick, I considered him, but I didn't think he'd be this good, and also so diverse.

I think I had Kreuziger on my team every year. This year I gave up on him. I'm still happy he won today and I hope he will do well all year.

I dont think I scored any points this week ... more than a good chance that I will slip out of the TOP 100 again.

Since Kreuziger has scored fewer point so far, than he did at the same time last year, he really isn't a good pick.

I chose Kreuziger last year- but thought he was too expensive for this year- he might still be, if he has to ride for Contador.

Had Gilbert go well- but it could have been better, maybe if he was the strongest in the race (he was lol) and Rojas and Coquard have gone well this week too.

Does that mean the the current best result you could have is 8435 and already be at around 110% of budget before a grand tour has even started?
And is that the actual best team that is possible to have, or there are riders with higher points who aren't in green yet. Giving another 2K if points to play with

Looks like collective wisdom is a bit like management by committee, looks good on paper but doesn't really deliver

Also losing 9 positions, not sure if i am happy about that or not

I have 17 of the most popular picks- but
Thomas, Coquard and Hushovd are already in profit.
Nuyens is a non- factor...
Andy has the potential to score highly but basically everyone has him.
Ospina, Kennaugh and Bobridge (is a 0 pointer- not 187) cost nothing so, no big deal.

Hepburn i expected to go better by now. The same with Taaramae and Pinot- but maybe later they can all go well.
Rojas is on track to get on profit in the next month or so and Gilbert hopefully can win at the Ardennes.
Cobo, Ponzi and Guardini all have potential to grow in profit.
Appollonio is one that hangs in the balance- but his 2011 sprinting at Sky was good, so hopefully he also pays off.

All in all- i feel secure (ish) with my picks in the top 33- but acknowledge that it is the unique or less common picks that will decide the difference mainly- and of course if everyone from the top 33 is selected they will probably go badly- but getting the right mix helps.

I thought that Hepburn was actually going to race road this year, oh well maybe a good chance for next year

The "Green team" isn't the best team possible so far as it only consists of riders in profit. For instance, you would probably want to include Sagan and Cancellara to reach the 7500 limit, but it's the best team of riders in profit.

I will do the weekly update tonight.

I think it is. Swapping in non-profit riders would only make sense if the total value of the team would be below 7500 points

Edit: nevermind, total value is way below 7500 points, somehow I have mistaken that with those 7505 points, so swapping in guys like Cancellara would make sense

Update #14: Bye bye bicing

vladimir takes the title as this week's top scorer, as he produces 507 points - most of which come from Gilbert and Kreuziger. Panda Claws is close with points from Gilbert, Leukemans and Kwiatkowski.

This week's top scorers:

1. vladimir - 507
2. Panda Claws - 476
3. ansimi - 452
4. Nyssinator - 445
5. SteelyDan - 435

EvansIsTheBest is this week's high jumper, as he moves from 91st to 67th. ansimi is the only one with his name on both the top scorer and high jumper list, as he jumps 19 places.

This week's high jumpers:

1. EvansIsTheBest +24
2. Team Riis +20
3. ansimi +19
3. Lortnoc +19
5. chinaboy +17

SteelyDan and HelgeBlendet enter the top 10 while ingsve and bicing is pushed out. bicing pays the price for not picking Gilbert, as he only scores 60 points and loses 12 places this week! Can he limit his losses and bounce back?

Top 10:

1. (-) will10 - 4937
2. (-) The Hitch - 4380
3. (-) Dim - 4338
4. (-) greenedge - 4329
5. (+8) SteelyDan - 4324
6. (+3) Gotland - 4296
7. (+1) ironted - 4278
8. (-1) Geraint Too Fast - 4264
9. (+2) HelgeBlendet - 4238
10. (-5) *Falze* - 4214

High hopes for this week as well with Phil, Roman, Nairo and Igor A all with a chance to do well in the Ardennes. But I guess two in a row is asking a bit too much:eek:

Hopefully Kwiatkowski and Leukemans can keep doing well as they are pretty unique picks.
