Think I've nudged north of 10000 this week....really didn't expect that! Once the classics were out of the way I expected to tumble down the rankings but luckily Quintana had a brilliant Tour and then a few of the guys I'd written off as poor choices - the likes of Hushovd, Breschel, Rojas, Arndt - have stood up and scored some points too.

The only real "fails" on my team now are Chaves (injury) and Rujano (enigma). Pozzato and Matthews still have time to come round and at least break even this season, and I still wouldn't rule out Gilbert finally breaking into profit before the end of the year.

Coquard by far the best choice I've made.

Doughnots like Rujano, Gilbert (I still have hope), Roelandts (not sure why I thought he might score 900-1000 pts), Kruijswijk and Anton (yeah... well...) hurt a little.
Even worse is looking at those last minute rejects like Kwiatkowski, Ciolek et al.

With the weak field, I'm hoping he can go on a run like Degenkolb last year. On another note, Farrar is just pathetic now. He and Guardini were a complete waste of points.

Matthews is almost even now so I'm hoping he can get some more stage wins to get into a nice profit but Meersman will be a tough opponent. Farrar indeed pathetic will anyone dare to pick him next year :p

You can't put Guardini and Farrar in the same basket. Guardini was overrated and overpriced because he scored bucketloads of points in Langkawi and Qinghai which have very weak sprinting fields. On top of that he went to Astana where he clearly isn't given as much support as he had with Farnese Vini. To be fair his Giro stage did show some potential and I can see why it could have prompted some to take him. Farrar on the other hand, has gotten steadily worse since Weylandt's death. I mean he won a stage in the TDF in his memory but that was basically it. Now hopefully he will put his act back together but it is going to take some time. I just think that considering the circumstances calling Farrar pathetic is a bit harsh.
