It's always my favourite when I pick someone in this game that I don't know much about, follow them over the year, learn more about them, and then become a huge fan. With that in mind...

BARGUIL!!!

Agreed, especially since I had precious few of those this year (Coquard, Bardet, Barguil). Last year I had Moser, Démare, Bouhanni, Quintana, Durbridge + a few others who weren't as good. It's probably the main reason why my team is going so badly this year.

Update #32: The fight for first intensifies

In a light scoring week, the games 2nd and 3rd placed teams, SteelyDan and Geraint Too Fast, are catching up with our leader, will10. Geraint Too Fast just edges SteelyDan for the honor of being this week's top scorer by just 1 point!

This week's top scorers:

1. Geraint Too Fast - 520
2. SteelyDan - 519
3. FF'Wilco - 508
4. Hugo Koblet - 497
5. Jpettersen - 494

Neither Geraint Too Fast or SteelyDan can be found on this week's high jumpers list - obviously. Instead FF'Wilco, 3rd on this week's top scorers list, takes the prize as he moves up 20 places. Closest came Hugo Koblet - that's right! - who moves up 14 places.

This week's high jumpers:

1. FF'Wilco +20
2. Hugo Koblet +14
3. Tigerion +12
4. Armchair Cyclist +11
5. Ham-N-Eggs +8
5. Jan the Man +8
5. NairoQ +8
5. skidmark +8
5. ansimi +8

As Geraint Too Fast and SteelyDan were this week's two highest scoring teams, the fight for first place intensifies as will10 is now only 55 points ahead of SteelyDan and 211 points ahead of Geraint Too Fast. One new team enters the top 10 this week, tomazo, while gustienordic makes way.

Top 10:

1. (-) will10 - 11285
2. (-) SteelyDan - 11230
3. (-) Geraint Too Fast - 11074
4. (+1) adamski101 - 10693
5. (-1) chinaboy - 10667
6. (+2) vladimir - 10436
7. (-) freddybobs - 10386
8. (-2) Ferminal - 10314
9. (-1) ironted - 10226
10. (+1) tomazo - 10186

Thanks Hugo fot the update!

I'm so close to the top10 now, in 11th position at the moment, I need to gain 22points more!

Let's se what Kwiat can do in Canada and Dowsrett at the tour of Britain...

and maybe JTL... really a disaster this year!!

Great! Thanks alot, good to know. I just get worried by the time Tuesday comes around...

Seems like you are again having a good finish to the season, don't you dare overtake me. Either way I am ready for next year with what will be my unique pick and that is going to clear a 2000 points profit : T.. B..... :D

Barguil is just one of many last minute rejects performing above expectations. My long shortlist looks pretty good, I just selected the wrong guys.

Are the canadian races too hard for Roelandts? :(

Shouldn't have name dropped... now I'm onto you...
Ahah, well played. How long did it take you to find that dude though ?

It should be closer to ~2400 points profit

Form is temporary, class is permanent _O_
It depends on whether Federer is going to have a good year. For some reason those two always have their good seasons at the same time. Yes I use tennis players' performances to make my CQ team. Maybe that's why it sucks :D

Argh why did you do that.
I doubt anyboy would have forgotten to include him anyway.

Well until today I'd got away with overlooking Pinot, might cost me big time now.

Pinot disappoints both ways. He's not been a great pick for those of us that have him but these Vuelta points make it difficult to look at him next time.

We have now entered that time of year when each time a rider I like performs, I'm sad because I can't pick them the next year. Eitherway, I'm done with Pinot, 3x times on my team is enough I think (although other expensive picks don't look very appealing at first glance).
