Woo hoo! Some celebrating, finally. Pinot = about time, Matthews-Farrar 1-2 on Sunday, Pippo and Breschel picking up a few points from guys who were earlier season disappointments... 46th is respectable, right? When I look at how most of the good performers from years past are doing, I'm starting to feel alright.

Fingers crossed for a good worlds and Lombardia. I mean, I guess I have Gilbert and Pinot as obvious possible performers, but who else? We shall see...

You're finishing strong, unlike my team. My team was built for the Tour apparently...the Giro and Vuelta were disasters with the exception of Bling.

Up to 44th ! Hope Gilbert, Ulissi/Pozzato have a good worlds. Also hoping for a good autumn for Zaugg. Not much expectations for Pinot though. Highly unlikely he'll have a good run in the remaining races.

With the GT's over I added up how many I got in each. Thought it would interesting to share and find out how many points others got in each GT. Here's the breakdown for me.

Giro: 575
Tour: 876
Vuelta: 478

Quintana really saved my team with all the success he had in the Tour alone. Then Majka brought in some GC points in the Giro, with the majority of the other points coming from individual stage results. Then the Vuelta points came from a mix; some stage points, and Pinot in the GC.

 

[Ferminal]

Hmm, there's not really enough points left for anyone other than the top3 to win given they cover the likes of Sagan/Cancellara/Gilbert/Quintana/Evans. There would have to be a couple of massive boilovers in Firenze/Lombardia. Winner will be ~13.5k I guess.

Things went better than expected for me! I knew I scored a lot of points, but I thought more people would have, but I'm in the top 15 now for the first time since TDU was won by Slagter.

Will I finally be in the top scorers update again for the first time since TDU? Missed it by 1 point two weeks ago, will I succeed now? One can but dream.

Update #33: A Nibali vs Horner-esque battle between two teams

With the Vuelta finished and the Canadian races out of the way as well, it's time for update #33 which turns out to be quite a battle between two teams, martyfulu and DJ Sprtsch, in which the former came out on top. But just barely.

martyfulu scored 1005 points while DJ Sprtsch came up 4 points short. Interestingly, the majority of martyfulu's points came from the Vuelta (with Pozzovivo, Pinot, Kangert and Nerz) while many of DJ Sprtsch's points were earned in Canada (with Gesink, Ponzi and Pozzato).
