Brambles not cool dude.

Also Majka and Edmondson disappointed me, both far far (10 min) down

One positive note Aru 25th only 32 seconds down, same group as JVDB and Bobby gesink

Hurray! Battaglin showing signs of life

21 BATTAGLIN Enrico Bardiani Valvole - CSF Inox ,,

Among a group of 22, at least he didn't lose any time:cool:

Good, I was getting worried about him. Not a great result but not too bad either considering his form has been pretty bad so far this season.

Anyone know what his goal is this season by the way? Giro?

Also Pinot getting his first points today. Nice to see him showing some signs of life as well. :)

I had expected more of Elissonde. :(

Ah well, Elissonde still looking like a good pick, maybe tomorrow he can show some of his climbing potential again; he's al ready into profit anyway, so he's still looking to become a decent pick.

Good day in the snow in Catalunya:D
Quintana - won; 35 points and in contention for the overall if Valverde blows
Pinot - 5th; only 4 points but should score well in the GC
Anton - 14th; good early form for him
Silin - 16th; should be able to get some GC points and shows ability again
Kruijswijk - 44th; but with Gesink failing he should be allowed his chance tomorrow
And all my five other riders still in the race as well. Could be a good week;)

not, game, but cq, Contador has hardly been setting the world on fire, yet despite 4 missing months compared to everyone else he is already 6th in cq rolling rankings

Not really, IMO. The team won't back him before Goss drops out. Or at least, they implied as much when they said that the "third week" would be for Matthews.

That's why I ended up dropping him from my team. They had both Goss who had a bad season but I thought (and still do) he will have a much better year. Then they have Howard who has been mentored and working with the team. When he moved across I thought he would be the 3rd sprinter and not have many chances this year

Well at least I got mentioned in this weeks right up, even if it was for all the wrong reasons

Are you kidding me  couldn't Ulissi and Felline start winning last year when they were on my team?

Felline won few times last year and had a strong season, best season to date for him.

Ulissi was 2 stages last year in the same race he's doing right now in Italy, plus had his best season ever as well to date.

they both made minimal improvements not the 200% I hoped for, right now especially Ulissi is doing much better.

It just ****es me off that riders I had on my team for a long time but kicked out just before the deadline and riders I had last year are doing great right now.

Well done Ulissi!!. So far not a bad week with Meersman and Ulissi both delivering.
Now hope that the likes of Pippo,Hushovd, Matti, and Thomas will deliver in the cobbles.

actually it's not that special I mean he doesn't trade in any points all points he earns until eneco tour are added to his 2012 score... so not that special, I reckon just before eneco tour he'll have around 2500 points

Wow, Helge. That's quite a team you've got for the weekend! Sure you didn't forget Sagan and Boonen as well? ;)

Hehe Sagan and Boonen would fit quite well, indeed.

I lost quite a bit during the cobble season last year, so I overloaded my team with cobblers this year. Not sure if it will pan out as expected. There are so many things that can go wrong in cobbled races.
