Poor stuff from the classics guys. saved yet again by Ulissi and Meersman. Thomas the only cobbled classics guy doing well.

Total of 673 Points this week.
Gadret and Rujano opened their accounts, hope Rujano can keep them till years' end. Sutton breaks even.

Only ~87 points from GW. At least Bardet scored some points at CI. Good week scoring somwhere near 700 points, but it still could've been much better.

Oh and Andy might get some 5-pointers this season.

Still early. In 2011 I was in the TOP10 after Roubaix and finished somewhere around 50th place. Way more points to be earn during the major stage races. Well, on the other hand, you dont want to be waaaaay behind either.

Awesome win by Sagan! What a class this kid is.

My GT assault is led by Andy, Cobo, Rujano and Gadret.

Gadret looks like the best bet for a decent placing so far.

Good points from Porte, Pinot and Quintana- though Porte could have been 1st and Quintana 3rd.

Little points from E3- Coquard, Rojas, Gilbert, Hushovd and Oss. 5 riders DNFed.

I have just Thomas, Hushovd and Roux which everyone else has too.

No wonder I'm 99th :D

Thanks CQM.

Offredo was returning from a ban though, so shouldn't be in the Green team. Looking at those names you would have needed some serious inside information. The pick of the year could well turn out to be Porte (2 teams), though i'm hoping it's Ulissi.

Key date is 28/04, no team will have won the competition by then but many will be out of the running.

I don't think most of those guys are must-haves, though a few could turn out that way (Coquard, Ciolek, Thomas possibly). The key will be if they can continue to put up points at a similar clip.

I only have Hushovd and Thomas.

Could be, but I think he's going to have to be given free reign at one of the GTs for a real point explosion. He's almost guaranteed to be at least good pick at this point, though.

I don't even think that's necessary. Chances are he'll be Sky's super dom and de facto second GC guy for the Tour. It worked for Froome last year...

Small signs of life, with the (albeit popular) Thomas getting 4th and not total disasters (read: minor points) from Rojas, Van Keirsbulck. Rebellin holds 4th in CeB but is a terrible TTer (although those behind him might be just as bad) and Pinot holds 9th in Catalunya. Nothing to write home about, but at least some anchoring in points.

It was a great race to watch today regardless.

Just a reminder that you're going great guns in the Youth CQ game. Grmay proving to be an excellent pick.

Cav, Canc, Froome and Sagan would also be.
Ulissi is a good pick, best of luck.
Hopefully Porte carries me for the rest of the year.:D

Update 11: A Sagan time of year

Yet another crazy week with a bunch of points awarded. This week's top scorer is the newcommer (correct me if I'm wrong) Dekker_tifosi, who scores 939 points. Of course having Sagan helps this time of year, and the other two teams with the Slovak in it are also among this week's top scorers: SteelyDan and ironted. Will the expensive Sagan turn out to be a genious pick in the end?

This week's top scorers:

1. Dekker_tifosi - 939
2. SteelyDan - 901
3. keithmcmahon - 877
4. bubbles - 857
5. ironted - 839

Not surprisingly is Dekker_tifosi also among this week's high jumpers, but it's bubbles who takes the prize as he jumps from 98th to 56th.

This week's high jumpers:

1. bubbles +42
2. Dekker_tifosi +36
3. keithmcmahon +34
4. Ruudz0r +31
5. AussieGoddess +25
5. vladimir +25

In the top 10, Skibby's lead is shrinking a bit as Sagan has pushed ironted up to 2nd place now less than 100 points behind our leader. The Sagan-Express also earns SteelyDan a spot in the top 5.

Top 10:

1. (-) Skibby the bush kangaroo - 3341
2. (+5) ironted - 3248
3. (-) bicing - 3121
4. (+11) SteelyDan - 3116
5. (-3) nordicICE1024 - 3108
6. (-) Geraint Too Fast - 3088
7. (-3) The Hitch - 3052
8. (+1) Dim - 3021
9. (+1) *Falze* - 3009
10. (-5) sublimit - 2985

Let's take a look at the bottom as well. Here we find Thibaut Pinot at rock bottom as Zam_Olyas's squadra italiana takes one step up.

Bottom 10:

132. (-2) Thibaut Pinot - 1436
131. (+1) Zam_Olyas - 1473
130. (-12) Fowsto Cope-E - 1586
129. (-6) Phoenix118 - 1614
128. (-) auto de fé - 1637
127. (-1) whittashau - 1661
126. (-13) Ham-N-Eggs - 1664
125. (-) LightBing - 1669
124. (-5) Andrichuk - 1670
123. (-8) Panda Claws - 1732

Bonus question:

Who do you think would lead the game using the "current rankings" instead of the "yearly rankings"?

That is, using the points the riders have earned from March 24 2012 untill March 24 2013.

The curse of the rainbow jersey is real.

Lets wait until Ardennes, he probably wouldn't have done much at RVV anyways.

Anyone has Le Bon ?

Already in profit, and should have preety tidy sum of points at the end of season. Wouldn't be surprised with around 500, many French races on calendar that have tt's that decide the race and he should excell in them.
