Nice day for me today with Clarke and Keukeleire in Camaiore and Guardini in Langkawi. Regarding Guardini, however: thanks to his injury and resulting lower-than-usual haul of points in Langkawi, I'm not sure how he is going to turn a profit this year. I guess I can always hope for a win in the Scheldeprijs.

Alright! Le Bon doesn't disappoint, second in the prologue of West Vlaanderen. This race is a bit of a mystery to me, the last couple of years it's been a prologue and seemingly easy bunch sprints, but somehow the standings have jostled around (perhaps due to bonus seconds on course?). Either way, don't have much hope of De Gendt and van Baarle moving up from 11th and 12th in terms of bonus seconds at the finish, but maybe they can pull some out on course... they and Le Bon are all attackers by nature (or at least DvB has shown the ability to go with small groups) so I'll have my fingers crossed.

Well it depends a bit on the weather and the intent of the teams (especially say Trek), but Le Bon won't be too worried if its an attacking race. With 3 in the top 6 I would think Trek will show some desire to break up the race - however if they do make it hard, Devolder is bound to lose time.

Impressed by Senechal, hopefuilly he can pick up some seconds or be at the front if it breaks up.

Another disappointing week so far. Only points are 28 from Felline in Camiore and 62 from Kruijswijk in Langkawi. I hope it will change to the better soon and why not tomorrow? I have 10 riders in Paris-Nice, At least 6 (probably 8) in Roma and brave Lagutin is the lone rider fighting for me in Wwest-Vlaanderen.

Yeah, doesn't seem like too much of an attack-friendly course. Climbs are pretty far out. Still, DvP got his first pro win today, and with the time bonus plus 4 seconds due to splits he moved from 41st to 13th overall! I'd love to trade up the 11th/12th/13th I have today, though...

Chaves gets his expected points from Langkawi, and nobody on my team does anything in Strade Bianche. Tomorrow should be fun to see how West Flanders plays out and the first stage of Paris-Nice, and Roma Maxima.

Other than few points from Bos and Guardini I got nothing going this week. I really need Talansky to finally start racing and collecting some points.

Great Tour of Lankawi for my team with many points from Guardini, Kruopis and Chaves. Van Poppel also won a stage in Driedagse and De Gendt will probably score his first points there. Poels was also good in Strade Bianche finishing 9th.

Now all I want is Pozzato to win Roma Maxima and the week will be very good. However I don't know what to expect from Paris Nice where I only have Gerrans, Phinney and some guy called Andy Schleck.

Been a good week for me, I think.

Chaves, Kruijswijk, Barguil, Van Poppel all scoring some decent points.

Anacona in the end didn't score any points, but he sure looked like he is in some nice shape!

It's a shame Voeckler already lost time in PN though. Still have plenty of guys in there who are supposed to be able to get over a hill, but the GC is difficult to predict this year in PN.

If everything goes according to plan I'll be back in the top 50 after PN and then out of it again after TA. :p

Update #9: Josedin takes the honours as wizard_of_oz hangs on for another week

Josedin took advantage of Omega Pharma Quick-Step's early season dominance and the points bonanza that is Tour de Langkawi to claim a comfortable weekly victory. Guillaume van Keirsbulck was the teams highest scorer, closely followed by Esteban Chaves, Michal Kwiatkowsi, Theo Bos, and Andrea Guardini in that order.

There is a tie for 2nd place between two very different teams. Nicosix's collected points from 9 different races - Tour de Langkawi, GP Camaiore, Le Samyn, Strade Bianche, Roma Maxima, Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen, Paris-Nice, GP Ville de Lillers, and because CQ Ranking has included points from today's (Monday) races in this update, Tour de Taiwan. While 90% of Ruudz0r's points came from just Langkawi (Kudus, Chaves, Kruijswijk & Zilioli), with Cunego contributing the remaining 10% at Strade Bianche.

The 4th & 5th best teams of the week - Eric8_A and Grimm - are the two highest movers.

This Week's Top Scorers
1. Josedin 412
2. Ruudz0r 358
2. Nicosix 358
4. Eric8_A 352
5. Grimm 331

This Week's High Movers
1. Eric8_A (+37)
2. Grimm (+34)

It couldn't be much closer at the top of the overall ranking, but wizard_of_oz is still hanging on up there. We'll see if he can make it 10 out of 10 next week when search takes over the updates.
