They look a bit disappointed.

Seriously, the margin is incredible, but Roglic winning this really shouldn't have been that surprising. Like, it took one TT up PdBF where he clearly wasn't himself to let the collective brain of this forum forget that Roglic is an elite TT'er. It looks surprising that the guy who lost the Tour in a TT won this race, but it shouldn't be surprising that the man who once won an 8 km giro prologue by 20 seconds did. Such a well deserved win after all he has been through this year. A win that feels surprisingly similar to Cancellara's victory in 2016.

I am surprised, actually, after it was said his back hurt badly in the RR, I thought he wasn't healed enough to do it. And a minute on everyone else, I wouldn't have expected that anyway.

Looking at the fact that Dennis will also ride for JV next year we can only hope that there won't be a TTT...
Brutal for Küng. Ganna did what he could with a track focussed prep on a hilly course, but the others were just a bit better. He could have paced himself a lot better.

Funny how usually we would talk about how brutal it is for Ganna to lose a medal by such a small margin, but now he is only 5th and it feels like he isn't even that unlucky.

Yeah I don't doubt the Tour finishers and the guys who went balls deep in the road race really suffered from that effort in the ITT.
