Holiday season at the CQ HQ?
They also need to fix their mixed relay result, as right now the points given are that of a Worlds ITT, with Bissegger getting 250 points, Küng 150, Schmid 130, Armirail 110, Cavagna 96 and so on.

Seems like they have fixed it now (not sure if the points are correct) and the weekly update is available. So hopefully skidmark has the time to publish an update quite soon.

At first I couldn't understand why you wrote the update was there...then I saw that they have simply failed to update the message header. Maybe it's been sitting there since Monday?

So the update is up, but even though it's dated 80623, it includes the mixed TTT from 80823, and although the main site itself has corrected the scores, the download has the incorrect scores, ie Bissegger has 250 points in the update for the week, not 62. (DJ Sprtsch, it wasn't up on Monday - last year they commonly didn't have it up in the header but it'd show up in the drop-down selection... that wasn't the case until yesterday this week)

I'm going to hold off on a game update for the week, email CQ and see if they'll change the download. If they don't, I'll just do the erroneous update and catch up with next week's. This game goes with the official CQ updates as basis, so if they have an incorrect one in the official record, I'm inclined to go with it.

Hmmm. You could just skip the week. But then people lose a change for green jersey points i guess. Whatever you are willing to do is great. But its a lot of work to have to go back and change it if they finally get it right. And CQ might ask for a donation :)

Going for Van der Poel and Girmay was a mistake.
Even in this season Van der Poel barely cleared 1600 points. He simply isn't a CQ beast similarly to Cancellara.

No doubt Van der Poel could theoretically clear 2000-2500 points but he probably won't race enough.

Girmay I had hoped would surprise through a heavy schedule and winning lots of smaller races (kind of like De Lie). I got caught up in the hype though as he doesn't seem a 2000+ rider at the moment (yet). His season so far has been a lot worse than expected but the upside simply wasn't there.
