The 2024 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

@skidmark There are some errors on my team.

I see the names Fabio Jakobsen, Sam Bennett, Maximilian Schachmann, Frederik Wandahl, Matthew Walls and Ethan Hayter on my roster.

Surely, there's no way I could have been stupid enough to pick them, so they must be erroneous.
yeah it seems like a common problem! I'll look into it and try to fix it by 2025.

It seems like there's an issue with the website @Shakes (well two because I'm not in first but I think I'll blame @shalgo stupidly good team for that one). The graph for position over time is broken (at least for me) and like I said I want to see my team drop in real time. Hopefully it's not too much work to sort that one out. Either way thanks for taking the time to set up the site.
Fixed! Bit later than intended as I ran a half marathon yesterday (blasphemy on a cycling website but alas).

Crazy amount of points a lot of people scored last week! Painfully dropped the ranking a bit myself and gaps are getting huge.

So only good thing for us not Ayuso owners here. He isn´t scheduled to race anymore in march!

Bad thing is, that his april schedule looks pretty stacked with Itzulia (Vingegaard, Evenepoel and Roglic are also scheduled), Ardennes classic and Romandie. Well at least he will face good competition there. (So not a Hirschi 2023 schedule)

Thats good for us Ayuso-owners since he could score way more from GC, rather than doing 1.1 one-day races.

And in the Ardennes there are many points up for grabs.

This is going to be a very fruitful week as I have 6 riders who have finished inside top7 in GC of either P-N or T-A.
1082 points to be precise.

Despite the fact, I don't think I have any chance of finishing inside top3 this year. Pretty much all of my good picks are popular picks and most of the teams that share those picks with me have at least one good pick that I don't.

The following of my riders will - as things stand now - be on the start of at least one race throughout the week.

Amdi Pedersen
Andersen
Asgreen
Bendixen
Bjerg
Blume Levy
Changizi
Foldager
Honoré
Jørgensen
Kamp
Kragh (hopefully they fix his knee)
Larsen
Lund
Nielsen
Pedersen
Salby
Sander Hansen
Stokbro
Søjberg
Valgren
Wallin
Wandahl

Who knows, maybe this is the week you get to have a rider in profit.

It's march 12th and Pogacar has only 220 points. If we extrapolate his current scoring rate to the end of the year, he will score about 1100 points which is less than a third of his 2023 total. Is he washed ? Discuss.
MvdP is on pace for zero points this year. Already on my shortlist for next year's CQ game, but I'm worried that maybe his lack of results so far means he's washed.

We should start a 'first impression/small sample size' game where we pick next year's team by the end of March.
