We all have to put our hope now in the upcoming star, who made an impressive performance during the last mountain stage in the Tour de Suisse, which secured him the 3rd place in the point classification!

Johannes Staune-Mittet

Shalgo is the only player out of the Top10 overall, who doesn´t have him! With a thermonuclear autumn he alone will close the gap of 1500 points for us!

Does anyone have the year-end spreadsheets for the previous years competitions to share? I would like to look up what my finishing scores were each year I participated previously.
2011 13897 1st
2012 14129 48th
2013 10600 51st
2014 11519 56th
2015 14067 24th
2016 11910 84th
...
2019 9638 103rd
....

As of the end of last year, you are 69th in terms of all time total (85760), and 138th in terms of your all time average score (12251.4)
In the years you participated, you averaged 107.2 % of the average scores (92nd place) and 80.6% of the winners' scores (99th place)

So the week of the National Championships, which could always offer some surprise points, due to the fact, that startlists and also profiles are published with very short notice.

Today is the ITT of Britain with E. Hayter and Joshua Tarling.

Update #22: Armchairs climb the rankings

Apologies for the late update, this week has been rather busy for me.

Armchairclimber wins this week mainly due to the efforts of Waerenskjold (unique pick) and Bernal. Pellizzari and Onley provided most of their remaining points. Jon Ezeitza relied on the efforts of Skjelmose, Riccitello and Onley to take second place. Jumbo Visma Fan closed out the podium with the trio of Bernal, Riccitello and Mas delivering most of the scoring.

Squire's gamble on Pidcock appears to be paying off as the Brit is now almost into profit and helped them secure fourth this week. After a couple days of slightly sub standard scoring, normal service is resumed as shalgo once again joins the weekly top 5.

Squire and shalgo are far too well placed in the overall to feature here so armchairclimber and Jumbo Visma Fan dominate this category. Another armchair, Armchair cyclist this time, also appears on the podium thanks to Bernal, Riccitello and Mas.

Another week, another haul for shalgo who is now almost dead even with Googolplex. Everybody else is at least a weekly win away from contention.

Shalgo recoups all the lost ground from last week and then some, pushing past the 11k barrier while no one else is even close to reaching 10k. EITB holds steady in second place while adamski101 takes skidmark's spot on the podium. There was a little reshuffling lower down the top 10 as well but remarkably nobody dropped out.

For historical context, shalgo's score is already higher than the leading score after the Tour de France in 8 of the 13 editions of the game. That's pretty impressive considering there's more than a month to go before we reach that point.

Had a decent day with the TTs, but was so close to being a great one.

Had one guy be 1 second off 1st place (Foss), another 9 seconds off 1st place (Segaert) and a third was 4 seconds off 2nd place (Christen).

But last week's 4th place on the week was really nice, of course. Especially nice to see Onley going well after coming back from his 2nd collarbone break this season.

Benjamin Thomas and Darren Rafferty into profit.

20 riders into profit for me. 13 still to go.. If I am looking at the rider performances right now, it´s still possible for everybody to get into profit.

Exceptions perhaps L. Hayter, E.Hayter, B.Turner and Gloag. Lund Andresen will depend on his autumn schedule..

I believe it has still never happened. I recall looking up those who came closest in the past, and they were by no means necessarily those near the top of the table.

Unfortunately, for me, I don't think having riders on the first 7 spot in Denmark (as well as some other point-giving positions) is gonna help me much in the "battle" to not be last. Because I'm pretty sure Samu's riders have done something similar in Spain, and he already had a decent gap.

You were unlucky in the ITT (I don't think Skjelmose has asked CQ to hand over his points to JPP, but that would of course not change anything for you anyway). I had 1st, 2nd, 5th, 8th, 12th and 27th in the Spanish RR today, but Cyril Barthe didn't score me anything in France.

This just gave me an idea to make a team entirely out of riders from Australia and New Zealand, who are likely to participate in nationals and Tour Down Under in order to take an early lead and have a moment of glory. Has anyone done that before in this game?

Don't think so.
I think Samu started the "national based teams" thing last year.
I then decided to fully commit to the insanity.

The aptly named wizard of oz in 2014. Their team did exactly as you would expect in January (and exactly as you would expect the rest of the season too unfortunately for them).
