The 2025 CQ Ranking Manager Thread

Page 3 - Get up to date with the latest news, scores & standings from the Cycling News Community.
Hi all, a couple of updates:

- I've been busy with the holidays but now am catching up on entries, so if you submitted a team I should have gotten back to you or I will very soon.

- I copied the totals of the December 31st official year-end CQ update into the Create Your Team spreadsheet, so if you haven't submitted a team yet please download the Create Your Team sheet from the first page now to check, ie if you downloaded it before now it won't have the most up to date information.

- I also updated that sheet for the unique case of Rob Stannard. His results were nullified retroactively from 2018-22 for biological passport violations. But, the investigation took place in 2023 and 2024, and he was provisionally suspended for parts of those seasons. Per the doping/suspension rules in the first post of the thread, he is therefore not available at either his 2023 or 2024 scores, but rather the 367 points he got in 2022.

Keep the entries coming! Looking forward to the start of the CQ game season as always.

I finally created my team, have 33 riders and still 899 to spend. No idea where to do. There are nearly no expensive riders I trust in.
Well, make sure you spend the last points somewhere. even if you have a cheap rider that does well it would still be better to have a rider that cost 899 points more but who only breaks even. Just gonna have to pick the ones you trust most of the ones you distrust I guess.

I have almost 2000 points left for the last few picks. I barely see any riders over 200 that I want to have in my team.

Can the pair of you lend me some budget? Because for me, this is a year where I need to make some more-painful-than-usual decisions who to cut in the higher price ranges...

I'm lazy! The calculator program is right there!
You call yourself lazy but for me it would be more effort to keep track of how many values I've already added up in the calculator. It's easy to misclick something and end up with a wrong result or misremember and add the same value 2 times or forget to add it altogether. Doing it right with the calculator actually requires more resilience than installing an excel-like program.
