While talking of the Irish cyclists, I hope we see Philip Deignan return to form this year. Really hoping he can achieve some good results, looked like he was flying on home roads!

On the poll, I think Dan Martin will have the better year and better career. I just think he has talent to produce some big results, classic victories and numerous stage wins in the 3 week tours. I can't see him challenging for the victory because of his inability to TT though.

Weren't you the guy complaing about airstream dismissing your arguments with calling you a fanboy? You practically always use Phil in an argument against me, even when I don't mention him.

You did use Phil. You gave him as an example of 3 riders who were visible in a stage together with Sanchez and Vanendert.

And its definitely not dismissing your arguments. I only point out Phil when you use him yet again in some example.

If I was dismissing your arguments on the basis that you are Gilbert fan ( a logic that is alien to me) I wouldn't have racked up half my postcount in threads and threads of back and forth arguing with you over millions of different points now would I;)

Of course I used Phil, the post I quoted was talking about the first mountain stage where Phil played a key role. Should I have ignored him just because you think I should? No

That post was merely pointing out that what happens in the final is what matters and most of the time not what happens before.

And you kinda did dismiss my argument in the who's the best pain-fighter thread when I said Contador and you just said that I brought him up because I'm a fan of him. I genuinely believe Contador is one of the best pain-fighters both physically and mentally. ;)

Key Role? Well thats debatable.

Yes, without him Vanendert would have never been there in the first place. He instigated the move that saw 3 cyclists get away on the descend. He was drilling it up front with Vanendert in his wheel at the start of the descend. Besides, it's irrelevant to my argument whether or not he played a key role there.
