Armstrong was not in a position to elaborate on the FDA investigation yesterday, but nonetheless broke his silence on the matter to say the probe had not impacted his day-to-day life.

Stellar article by Rupert Guinness!!!

Let the TDU freak show continue.

Lance:
"As long as that kind of anarchy exists we'll never move forward. It's easy for people to use the UCI as a sort of whipping boy … To me there is total lack of solidarity or unity when it comes to the athlete and the team. Whether it's entry to races, or race radios, there will still be issues."

I thought there was only one :D

Whats a "second attempt at retirement"??..:D Its easy..you just stop.

The double speek of Wonderball is just so remininscent of politition speek thats it hard to believe a single word ever attributed to him in such "interviews" is not scripted and pre approved by some kinda spin expert.
The great problem I have with spin is invarioubly its selling a lie..a half truth at best.
If the truth is the truth no spin is required.:D

Oh No, Lance is using the livestrong.org work computers to post. Boo Boo.

He's too busy stalking Greg Lemond's children on their twitter accounts or posting self-praising garbage on one of his dozen twitter accounts.

As I said, Pro Hater. World Class Pro Hater.

Lance was up on twitter before you even heard of it lol.

One of the first athletes to use it. First?
First pro cyclist.
So many followed. Now almost every pro cyclist tweets lol.
Retired ones and their kids too.

I started dealing with twitter in October 2007, about the time Social Media companies were starting to reach out to his Foundation, trying to get them interested in using this new form of communication. These were the "pre banging an Olsen Twin" days for Armstrong.

It is a waste to time to present facts, but I keep trying.

And he was stalking children when it was still just called Jail Bait (as opposed to pedophilia or being a predator)

Those that wish to pour more vitriol carry on as you usually would:

Thank you for reminding me why terminating all of my philanthropic efforts with the LAF was one of the smartest, and sanest decisions I ever made.

I know I am repeating this 'comment by image' but it seems appropriate

Erm, why would I want the LAF to donate to the "flood victims", LAF is a cancer charity (supposedly), not a slush fund for boosting LA's public image.

The LAF donated $250,000 to help the Haitian Earthquake victims early last year.

I 100% support people and organizations donating money and direct involvement to help the victims of this horrible earthquake. I was just always puzzled as to HOW this donation fit into the 'mission' of the LAF.

I am sure you are a wonderful guy.....but that rambling blog makes little sense.

Could you distill your concerns about the forum down to a sentence or two that could be addressed here?.......or do you prefer to only lob insults from the sidelines so you cannot be questioned?

I tried reading your blog entry. I'm not trying to deliberately insult you, but I found it painful to read. You start making a point, fail to finish, and then just move on to the next unfinished point. To put it mildly... You ramble.

I can see that you think that former Armstrong employees that sue are merely in it for the money. I can only think of one employee who sued Lance, and it was actually a countersuit. And the only reason he became persona-non-grata is because he found some "secret sauce" in Lance's cabinet and then failed to offer him an "All's cool". Perhaps Ms. Crow also discovered the same.

You probably are not aware of it, but the company you're keeping here is a diverse group. And by diverse, I mean people who have raced WITH Lance, worked FOR Lance, been friends OF Lance, etc. Not to mention the hordes of individuals here who personally have decades of experience in the peloton. We're not exactly idiots. We're not blind and if you think we're merely a bunch of angry losers, you're quite wrong. This is the best educated group of people I've ever encountered on the subject of doping, and I've been closely following the topic for 15 years now.

Perhaps the membership on this particular forum is a bit elitist for your tastes. I can understand that. But you'll have to do better than "Landis is a proven liar", because, quite Frankly, Landis' revelations are only news to us in the sense that an insider finally came clean. Everything he's said since May are things that we've long known about. And the case being built against Armstrong today? Quite Frankly, it probably will not depend on the credibility of Floyd Landis.

You've got a LOT of homework to do if you want to seriously challenge this group on the facts.

To address some of your comments:
Your Blog:Innocent until “proven guilty” does not appear to be considered as a fact in this forum.
Correct - nor should it, that is a standard for a Court of Law.
This is a forum - where people can post, read, discuss and debate and allows others to form their opinion on that information.

Your Blog: Mike has already tweeted recently about Lance and the LAF investment in Sth Australia
I have checked Mike Ranns twitter - he makes no mention of LA or the LAF investing in Sth Australia and indeed in this article from Adelaide Now says the opposite:
Adelaide Now: In Adelaide this year, Mr Armstrong announced he had donated the Livestrong name to the $27 million Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer, incorporating the Livestrong Cancer Research Centre. But it has not donated to the centre and the Government could not provide examples coming to SA from the charity.

As for your posting of Charity Navigator - they base their opinion on the LAFs assertion that 81% is going on programmes - yet part of those "programmes" include almost $2million on travel and $4million on advertising.

Also when asked by ESPN about Livestrong, Charity Navigator President said:
"This blurs the lines between the foundation and its charitable mission, and the personal gain of its founder,'' said Ken Berger, president and executive director of Charity Navigator. "It's mixing two purposes in a way that smells of a conflict of interest. The most precious thing a charitable organization has is the public's trust, and things like this put a chink in that.''

In fairness, I took a look. But after just a few seconds I determined it would only be a quick look—rambling tests my patience. Then vanity got the better of me and this popped up:
Granvill57 asks why I did not read the previous 36 pages of the thread. Mate you are right, I would prefer to read American History !
And herein lies one of the main problems. A lack of comprehension. What I originally offered was this:
Granville57 said:
It may be presumptuous of me, but I'd say that is kind of the point.
The neat thing about this forum is that all the previous posts are readily available for anyone to read through. If one were to show up on a forum about, say, The American Civil War, it would probably behoove them to have read, at the very least, one or two books on the topic. If what is being presented here is upsetting or unfamiliar then perhaps spending a few weeks or months reviewing all the previously presented evidence, links, insight, etc. that go back well over a year, would be time well spent.

Clearly, I was referring to more, much more, than just 36 pages of one thread. As of this moment there are over 1,900 different threads in The Clinic with nearly 100,000 separate posts. Do the homework. I came to this forum not as a revelation but as a confirmation of what I had already discovered on my own. But there's always more to learn, and with an open mind and rational perspective, this particular forum allows that to happen.

I consider The Clinic to be like a 500 level course.

Tough audience eh? Thank-you for the kind comments on your blog. I did say I was willing to listen so I did read the entirety of your blog. I understand. The news is tough. It doesn't read well. It’s actually better to believe Lance is a hero and Floyd is scum. But half way through your blog I was thinking you were going to dazzle me with a sucker punch so great about the programs and the work done by Livestrong etc. that it would make me sit up and listen. I do want to learn about the good work. But alas you proved my point. There is little tangible amounts of good work. You'd think if the organisation was doing such a sterling job then it would be easy to reel off the programs that are having profound effect. But a cut and paste job from Charity Investigator is hardly a telling blow to the critics. You missed your chance to change our minds.

Alas I think we need to spare a moment for Floyd. Think about his position and where he’s been.... he’s been to hell and back. He took the advice of Armstrong, supported Lance for countless years whilst suffering an incredible amount of ridicule from many....... I think there’s some Floyd in all of us and think yourself, a man standing up for the “little guy” would align himself with a person who’s gone through great torment but is standing up for his personal values and that person is Floyd. At the end of the day I think your blog will only attract more to take a look a the cyclingnews forums and learn more about the myth.

Good luck.
