The 2 cats we have now are indoor cats. But the last one was an outdoor cat who was hunter professionale. Everytime I'd mow the lawn, there'd be at least a dozen or more dead mice in the yard that would get mulched. That's just the ones he didn't eat. We were having to take him to the vet every 6 months for deworming. After a couple years of that, the vet just handed us a 5 year supply of tape worm pills. We would have to administer one pill every about every 6 months, but that solved the problem (you know... having a nice moment with the cat and then you spot a section of worm crawling on the cat's fur). Vet said the fleas on the mice carry the eggs of the worm. Just curious if this is a common problem.
