Dave Brailsford.

Yes.

He fails to mention riders weights will lower to levels comparable to starving African nations whilst surpassing the doped times.

Brailsford is a true genius and visionary. He really is.

I love that line from Boyer - yes you can get to this weight if you don't eat for five days, but then you can' get on a bike.
66KG - 10.3STONE....Just over 6foot.

That's jockey weight.

Everybody describing his physique as 'alien' concerns me. I'm the same height as Froome and he weighs a fair bit more than me . Do people look at me and think I'm an alien? :D

True.

A bucket load of Clen or similar might assist. The need to eat needs to be shut out somehow

No wonder Wiggins became so irritable that year.

He's a good case study. Behavior always tells the real story.

Managing weight down to an unusally low level is purgatory. I can hit 77kg without any bother, but getting down to 75kg for rowing turned me into something of a "diva" by all accounts, when normally I'm very placid. The thought of food just takes over and drives all sort of weird behaviour. Fellow lightweights observed the same kind of thing.

So wouldn't irritability exhibited by skinny riders be a good thing, as it suggests they are struggling to naturally lose weight? Or would irritability simply be the result of certain combinations of PEDs?

Yes. What you write is very true.

Have you ever taken amphetamines? The need to eat just disappears. Dopamine is flooded into your brain and everything is wonderful for a good 5-8 hours.

Alas the irritably sets in after. Lack of food and the dopamine crash gets you.

Coke addicts are good examples. They walk the tightrope but as soon as one of the levels drops they want to kill everyone or go into a dark hole! Thus the only way to maintain the balance is to keep using. Psychosis follows a few months later with the ebbs and flows.

Excessive caffeine usage by Hollywood starlets is a good example of a lesser scale.

I can't say Wiggins used Clen but you need something to balance or silence the body & brains need to eat.

You can rewire your brain naturally! You have to intercept it's natural messages with chemicals.

I'm just amazed that he knew beforehand that there would be no power loss with the weight decrease...but I'm stupid when it comes to physiology, so maybe everybody knew that was the case. I guess we are finally seeing the lazy a$$ed peloton start to consider all variables, and train smarter? Farcical gains...wait, I'm being told it's marginal...marginal gains.....wait, can we confirm that?

Well we are all humans. Just the same as Froome and Wiggins. What applies to us also applies to them.

They are not of a different specimen. Washing hands does not change our physiological systems.

So, yes, you are very right. What we notice in ourselves as a human should apply to them. Unless they have rewired their systems with chemicals.

:)

Another good sign of amphetamine use is someone talking a load of ********! And forgetting what they said five minutes ago and a few days ago. Dilated pupils and the stare. Staring all the time.

Enhanced senses and hyper-focus. 6 hour bike rides pass in 5 minutes.

In saying all that I'm not sure what phet you can use these days without being caught. But if OOC testing is occurring at the current frequency then just flush it out with water in two hours.

Check out 3:20s in. Can't stop running!

Everyone has a friend just like him! ....until their heart stops!

"You need to come and get me. I've accidentally run to Windsor. I didn't meant to, it's just the endorphins kicked in and I couldn't stop. My legs have gone, man. I'm a jelly. Paralysed. Feels ****ing brilliant."

Depending on how much you use amphetamines have a 2-3 day glow time. A bit risky if you are getting OOC often, like Horner and Froome were (Except when he was in Africa)

Weight loss techniques have evolved over time. Amphetamines were big back in the day. Ulllrich used to use Clenbuterol, HGH, Test, and thyroid medicine. Great way to cut weight and maintain muscle mas. Not sure you could get away with it today though. Contador also used Clen to trim down 1-2 kg prior to the Tour.

I hear a lot of guys, including some on Sky, are using Cortisone for weight loss these days. If you do not inject it, and it clears your system before you race (About 9 days), it is legal to use OOC without a TUE.

Tricky one this as both natural and drug assisted weightless can lead to excessive irritability!

Maybe Wigans was just born an a**hole? I think that is the most likely reason.

This I agree with. It's a bit 1997 to use heartbeaters. Like you suggest there must be something newer on the market.

Cortisone is a funny one. Injecting makes you "puffy".

I posted on the TUE thread last year about Sky in regards to their use of cortisone. Appears the rumors have got around.

It would seem to appear Zero OOC tests done on Sky(Wiggins&Froome) in 2012! Not sure about 2013, but considering no changes in UCI till september'13 what would change?

Are you are referring to this chart?

Note this is for BioPassport tests only, which most are done by the UCI. The UCI did 3262 OOC blood tests for the ABP in 2012 alone. Gotta think a few of those were on SKY riders

I dont see UKAD on that list. UKAD dont test?

Did UCI test Sky riders, yes (JTL) but did they OOC test Wiggins/Froome.

The list is only for the ABP. That is a UCI program. In most cases the tests are performed by the UCI. Outside of Europe they would outsource it to the local ADA, USADA for example.

To see how many tests UKAD did we would have to see their testing statistics, not those of a UCI program. I think they are available on their website or annual report

Sky said they had no TUEs at the Tour. Easy to check : I dont see any news articles going on about multiple Sky TUEs.
