So that was plateau de belle fille stage? Well again Froome doesn't give his readers the full story.

Lotto belisol had a sprinter but also a GC rider, of course henderson will be in front to help VDB2. I guess Froome didn't think about that...

You know, I read through some of hog's excerpts here, and all I could think of was that I didn't believe this for a second. But if this is the situation he was really talking about, then I'm still pretty surprised. How the hell did this become some story about evil Greg and Froome's heroic fight back into the front? This is complete bull****.

Wait what? This was the point where he lost places? Like, 3/4 of a place?

Froome couldn't hold his wheel. And that's just stupid riding. But the claimed losing of fifteen positions!? Oh, c'mon. That's just plain old BS. Even if it happened, that should be one of his most embarrassing moments. A guy takes your wheel and you come to a dead stop!?!? Besides, in racing, if you can't hold your wheel, then it doesn't belong to you. Deal with it.

"Sorry Greg, can you just let me in here? Climbers' day?"

What the is his issue with Greg Henderson, Froome clearly has issues. This entire rant just comes across as very *****y and he behaves like a school girl.

No. She said on twitter that this was not the incident referenced in the book

So why did she post it saying you need to read the book to understand? She seems to suck in all the oxygen in the room but none of it is going to her brain.

The weirdest part is that apparently Henderson was quite popular amongst the team at Highroad and continues to be at Lotto...

Yeah. And she was quick to reply to someone that it wasn't the incident in the book yet no one asked about that. It almost seemed as if she only realized later that she made a mistake.

After all, what are the odds of Henderson cutting Froome off twice in the same race? ( on a "climber's day")

But just to be sure, hog, can you check that snippet comes from stage 7?

And to his credit he seems to be keeping his views on Froome to himself, I have only seen one jocular reference to a harmonica from his second twitter account just after the book was released.

I would love to know what went down at Sky with him though.

I guess this once and for all rules out Henderson being the SP.

Judging by hog's other excerpt of the situation ( http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showpost.php?p=1484943&postcount=557 ), it doesn't really fit the stage. That being said, if we are to assume that the situation is almost completely fantasy, then the circumstances probably are too. After taking a quick look through the stage profiles from 2012 I can't really find any stages that seem to fit that description.

If they didn't put any more details down it's impossible to know. But my guess is that Michelle found her mobile and started filming because she knew something was going to happen.

Didn't JVDB have a mechanical? Henderson was probably instructed to try and disrupt the Sky train to help slow things down and allow JVDB to chase back on.

Here’s a weird thing. In cycling, corticosteroids are banned on race days, but not at any other time. So, you have a series of performance enhancing products (the glucocorticoid family, widely called ‘cortico’), which you can take, in massive doses, during training, without fear. As long as you stop your ‘course’ ahead of your race day, you’re clean as a whistle, good to go.

Do you see how that works? You can take corticosteroids (Synacthen, Kenacort, Decadron and the rest) and charge up like a mule while you train between races. And if an anti-doping team rock up and demand an out of competition sample, well, no worries, you pee freely.

Really?
