You could always just reply in the Horner thread.

The Hitch said:Me I feel far worse about Contador crashing out cos I really wanted a verified doper to win the Tour just to laugh at the apologists and hypocrites trying to sing the "new era" song with a Contador win following the evans, froome and wiggins ones. It makes me really upset atm that a total fluke has robbed me of that, maybe for ever.
But I still was upset that Froome crashed out. I wanted to see his clearly doped performances go under scrutiny again.

Afrank said:This thread is not about Horner.
Granville57 said:But it's not not about Horner either.
DirtyWorks said:I it might be helpful to post some example posts.
Big Doopie said:Who would that be?
Bardet? Pinot? Rolland?
Um... I am not a froome supporter. Not one single post in support.
But I do believe the unbridled fandom that Clentadoppucci enjoys here at CN comes close to the LA crazies, particularly since we know for a FACT that his ENTIRE reputation and all his results are based on unapologetic fraud.
buckle said:The theme is that most (but not all) wanted Froome to stay in order for him to get busted (which was never going to happen).
FoxxyBrown1111 said:Hitch there is still plenty to see from Valv-Piti and famous one-leg-rider-Horner... Thus you don´t have to be upset.
Scott SoCal said:The clinic is inherently anti-doping.
The clinic already knows Contador dopes.
The clinic highly suspects Froome to be doping.
Once Froome is popped, the clinic will move on to the next "outta nowhere" GC contender.
BikeCentric;1523581]Dirty Bertie is yesterday's news - we beat this old dead horse ad nauseum back during his clen-beef-erol case and before. Contador's been an obvious doper for a long time and this has been verified through "official" sanctions.

Oh, and the irony that this post is right next to a Nibs thread and an Armstrong thread ...
Granville57 said:Au contraire, mon frère. I think most wanted to see Froome light it up with the most over-the-top performance ever witnessed—and get away with it!
And if Contador were able to match, or even surpass such a performance? Even better.
Then the conversation would've gotten interesting.![]()
RobbieCanuck said:This is just outright wrong. The only sanction Contador has ever had in his entire career, is for the clenbuterol case. And as I am sure you are aware he was only sanctioned on the basis of absolute liability in spite of the fact the 50 trillionths of a gram of clen was found in his system on July 21, 2010 had no performance enhancing effect and played absolutely no role in his winning the 2010 TDF. That is 0.000,000,000,050 of a gram.
It was common ground through out the case that this amount of clen could not under any circumstances have had a performance enhancing effect.
When people say the Clinic is inherently biased that is not quite right. There are a large portion of the posters, I would suggest a healthy majority who are biased in favour of certain riders being dopers in spite of the fact there is no evidence of the fact. Just gossip, speculation, conjecture, innuendo, guilt by association etc. The usual trash tabloid like comment.
This part of your comment is spurious misrepresentation.
Hawkwood said:How do you know this, has Contador ever ridden clean so that we can know his undoped ability?

Sciocco said:Absolutely great post. It is so obvious and yet people still don't get it. Come 2016 or so and Froome could easily be nearly forgotten and the entire discussion will be on some young French rider or someone else who knows. Maybe there will be a Romain Bardet thread with 100,000 posts by 2018!
The Hegelian said:I found it interesting to see my own responses - With Froome's abandonment, really quite a bit of glee, with Contador's, genuine sadness.
It's inconsistent and a bit irrational for sure, but I think there is some reason underneath it.
It comes down to the aesthetic distaste in witnessing donkeys transform into thoroughbreds.
I could never stomach Jalabert climbing with the goats or Armstrong going for GC in a GT - not believable, not plausible, totally ruins the narrative/meaning for me.
Watching AC climb with Schleck in '09 I remember the vague sense of injustice at his doped strength, but it was nonetheless still plausible.
red_flanders said:Genuine question: Are you suggesting by calling it injustice, that Andy was clean during that battle?
The Hegelian said:Nope. Just in the usual sense that dope has agency in shaping the race.
TheSpud said:When Froome crashed and then crashed out there were pages and pages of posts, many of which were very anti and showed huge amounts of vitriol, and few that didn't.
Today Contador crashes out and there is virtually nothing.
Discuss and debate ...
