Alaphilippe happier than when Laporte had won.
What a tactical blunder by the chasing group. Laporte finishing his season a high and another medal for Matthews just not the one he wished for. And Sagan showing that he is still a force by finishing sixth?
Laporte and Matthews show they were worthy dark horses, even if the last lap of course would have played out differently without Evenepoel.

Tommy Vs record in the Worlds is actually amazing. Picked up a ton of medals since he took over
Impressive ride by Remco, but not very interesting race if not being a fan of him. Getting up early to watch this was only halfway worth it.
Somehow we've ended up with a mostly-predictable top ten. Can't wrap my head around today at all.
I get surprised everytime they do things like this. You have a group of 5 who are aiming for silver and bronze. And yet they *** it up by stopping completely instead of just keeping some pace.
Probably no radios, but I'm sure they knew and could see the guys coming from behind. That was just stupid in every way.
Just shows how used to them they are now........
