At Ayuso's current age, Soler's best results were a 3rd in the Spanish U23 ITT championship and a 51st place overall at the Tour de l'Avenir. The two are not comparable in my opinion. I would say Ayuso has shown both the capability and the psychology for being a very successful team leader in a grand tour. And he did so as a teenager. Don't think there's much wrong with his mentality.
Ok…., he will win the vuelta this year.

Ok but so far this year (and last) Ayuso has stagnated, he is further away from the best results his OG RR was a good example maybe he is on downward trajectory. There is a lot of talents that never develops in to GC leaders maybe he is another Wilco or Soler. The same is true for Uijtdebroeks but both have shown previously that they have been able to perform on a high level. I believe it will be easier to shape Uijtdebroeks into a superdom then it is for Ayuso to become one. We will have to wait and see which one will be more useful for his team.

If possible Ayuso should try to leave for Ineos. There he can be the GC star and Bernal, Rodrigues etc will be perfect support. I don’t see Cian as successful GC leader as Ayuso but maybe a much better superdom.
Isn't Uwubrooks just the typical Belgian gc prospect who already trained like a pro at a young age, only to stop improving in it's early 20ies? Of course a late starter like Evenepoel has a lot more room to improve than your typical Belgian (or Dutch) gc prospect, who was already training like a pro at the age of 15...

About Ayuso, signing him is also about getting his coach San Millan, and intel on how UAE/their top gc riders are working...

How can you say Uijtdebroeks stopped improving? We haven’t had the opportunity to see this yet since he was sick in the Giro. This is like people saying Evenepoel wasn’t GT material and then being surprised he finishes 3rd in the TDF.

He certainly didn't seem to have improved in any of the races he's done so far this year: 5th in Camiño, 7th in Tirreno, DNF Catalunya, DNF Giro, 35th in Suisse. I'd go as far as saying that he's been one of the biggest disappointments this year.

Catalunya sick, Giro sick, Suisse started to early like Evenepoel did last year. I'm looking forward to his performance in the Vuelta, but I agree that purely based on results he didn't seemed to have improved. But looked at within context I don't see an issue.

Does this mean Simon Le Carr has to guarantee to achieve a top fifteen placing in next years tour.

Is it my being behind the news or is Labous the only officially announced womens transfer.

I think Josie Talbot to Jayco was the first.

Some teams are probably waiting until after the Tour to make their announcements. If the rumour about Cavalli moving to DSM is true, then I guess that could be confirmed soon.

And again not every rider signed by top teams are winners. Visma has guys like Vermote, Hessman and Van Der Sande. UAE has guys like Laengen and Vink. They don't move the needle but you need them.
So I don't get why you're hating on a guy who is clearly signed as a domestique.
Exactly. And Langellotti actually has some sneakily good performances and results in his palmares.

I see plenty of issue. It's not like people are usually crap in the races they aren't peaking for these days. And he wasn't sick in the whole of Catalunya, just bad, and then he abandoned on the last day.

They even made the pun themselves, so I wouldn't have to!
