I believe she would have been better to go to a smaller team where she would be undisputed leader. I still worry she will be riding on the front of the peleton in flat stages.

Have Trek ever had an undisputed leader overall?

UAE team for classics will be pretty insane, specially because they no longer have dead bodies in the team like Ulissi or Hirschi.
Cobbled classics:
Pogacar
Politt
Bjerg
Veermesh
Wellens
Morgado

Hilly classics:
Pogacar
Novak
Narvaez
Del Toro
Christen
And probably a powerhorse like Bjerg, Politt or even Wellens

In Portugal we call this tranfer as "tapa buracos". I can't see where he will be useful for Pogacar and I think this transfer is only to put him racing in small races to complete the team and help secondary leaders to win those races.

Herregodts is a very good transfer! Can win races by him self, good TT that only will get better on a Colnago and a strong helper in grand tours on both flats and hilly parts + he climb actually quite good.

Yeah but not for the big races. He will not be in the Tour and monuments.

The only reason I can think of is that UAE is clearly going broke. Tf is this transfer.

I mean understandable for Herregodts ofc, great money and best TT setup.

Herregodts is an alright rider, but for a team with unlimited money you'd think there were a few better riders on the market that can do the same thing?

Still think they should've gone for Moreira for a laugh.

Think UAE are a tad short on their domestiques for flatter days, so in that regard it makes sense.

My point is that they should be able to get better. With all due respect to Herregodts, for UAE he will be very onedimensional, just being the first guy to ride at the front of the peloton in races probably (and not even in WT races probably). Also not good at positioning.
