The versatile one is still Matthews, I guess.
I feel like Dainese is a rider who could really start to bloom at another team than DSM. He was won a Giro-stage two years in a row and shown his potential. Ridden a few semi-classics and cobbles races. 4th La Samyn this year for example. He will be 26 next year and should have his best years right ahead of him.
Apparently Bora is after Welsford.I‘ll think (and there were already some News About it in some online newsmagazines) Bora will throw the Money at Jakobsen.
There are rumours circulating that Træen might leave Uno-X for a WT-contract with more money. So Uno-X is almost full for 2024. They have 22 officially confirmed riders for next season + Leknessund, Hvidverg and Cort (25).
I would guess Charmig, Traeen and Gregaard (28) are extending while Eg, Norman Leth, Halvorsen, Kulset and Niklas Larsen should be on the way out.
Supposedly, there are also both Bystrom and Hoelgaard on the market.
Next season they should have 5-6 riders of a certain quality that can score some points, of which 3 (Leknessund, THJ and Wærenskjold) are young riders with a decent potential. In addition they have Fredheim which seems like a nice talent. So for next season the team looks really good.Love this move, Uno-X slowly gets better with each transfer market.
Which suggests that jakobsen is going to DSM.Apparently Bora is after Welsford.
EvenepoelEither Ineos will have a reduced budget or they are preparing a very big signing nobody has foreseen.

It's not a disaster but it's odd.I think people overreact a bit about Ineos.
They have a lot of young riders who get better each year and require pay rise to be kept. Because of that, they were never going to be able to afford to keep all of their riders, no matter how big their budget is.
It's because they have never leaned so heavily on young riders before.(which had never happened since the team become relevant).
Nah. It's still a lot, lot worse than this and previous season. Vivani is far past his prime. Turner and Plapp are mostly domestiques and it's still certain of Bernal recovers from his injuries. The amount of reduction in talent from 2022 til 2024 would be staggering. They have Arensman, Bernal, Ganna, Hayter, Pidcock, Plapp, Sheffield, Turner and Viviani under contract for 2024. That's already enough talent for 2 good WT teams and some people act like there's some kind of a disaster ongoing.
I'm not telling they haven't lost a lot of talent, I'm telling they will still have a huge amount of talent in their 2024 squad.Nah. It's still a lot, lot worse than this and previous season. Who on the team is going to be Olympic track focused for next year? Hayter x 2, Tarling, Viviani, Ganna?, Plapp? If its all of those it would put a hole in who they have available.I think people overreact a bit about Ineos.

They are going to have 30 riders in their squad for 2024, I'm sure they'll manage.Who on the team is going to be Olympic track focused for next year? Hayter x 2, Tarling, Viviani, Ganna?, Plapp? If its all of those it would put a hole in who they have available.
They still lost Carapaz, Yates, DVB and Porte (not as a rider to bring results, but as a likely big wage) last year. That alone should be enough to cover for the pay rise of the mentioned riders.I think people overreact a bit about Ineos.

They don't have anyone as good as Pogacar, Vingegaard or Van Aert, that's why they're going for heaps of young semi-leaders, hoping one of them reaches that level eventually, instead of a more organised approach of a few elite leaders (because no one is available) and experienced domestiques. The former approach means their roster is less sustainable long term and there was always going to be a lot of turnover. And while they still have considerable amount ot talent, they don't have any capable of delivering ng TOP results, at least yet.
It's not about the amount of riders, but the amount of budget they are/were eating. And I don't even include Dunbar and Amador, who's contracts might have been decently high as well..Carapaz, Yates, Van Baarle and Porte are 4 riders.
But you have Hayter, Pidcock, Sheffield, Rodriguez, Plapp, Turner, Geoghegan Hart all riders that have made progress and perhaps Ganna can command a bigger contract than a few years ago as well and they've brought Arensman in, who musn't have been cheap after 2022 full of good results
