According to Italian cycling media Mark Padun is going to Corratec.
Honestly, him an Pozzovivo + Jakub, Bonifazio and Sbaragli for the sprints is actually a good wildcard team for the Giro.

Don’t envy RCS for having to whittle the list of WC teams down to two. It would be a crime if Tudor don’t get to do a GT next year with their roster and they have far stronger Italians than the other options, but inviting them would mean there would be only one Italian team. Of those three, Corratec probably have the best lineup now, Eolo/Polti won a stage last year and have Fabbro, so this had better be the year they drop Green Project because I can’t think of a single valid reason why they should get the nod.

I can see Lotto skipping the Giro once again to focus on scoring points in smaller races and races that are more important for their sponsors. So 2 Italian PCT teams + Tudor sounds realistic to me.

The only good thing about Bardiani would be that Pellizzari would get to ride his first GT.
IMO a bigger team should buy the guy out of his contract.

I have little confidence in Pellizzari fighting for stage wins and/or riding for (the bottom end of) top 10 on GC so long as he’s on Bardiani tbh. Yes, the experience would probably be good for him, but it really isn’t a necessity to make your GT debut at age 20 even in this era.

it's a mistake on PCS only. Pellizzari signed a three year deal with Bardiani, as he confirmed in 2022

There is a rumour that places Mark Padun at Corratec. He would have to break his 2024 contract with EF.

That would be consistent with the information by Eddy Evenepoel that Eiking still had a chance to stay at EF (otherwise they would be full with the still to be announced extensions of Doull, Shaw and Quinn, while it seems that Amador had a contract for next year as well)

I wonder why none of the Canyon teams are still on the short-list; I thought Alpecin would be in pole position, especially with their multi-discipline friendly approach. Maybe they don't have the $$$$$$, which is interesting.

Well... we don't really have a legislation in those matters. It's just... some public figures are known by their middle names, especially if their actual last name is a "sen-name", because those are just so frickin common and boring.
Just to clarify; there is legislation for what names you can have - for example; you can only have one name that's listed as your surname - but there is not legislation for what names you can be known by in media, if you're the kind of person who's known by media.
