well no. 4 for one. Top sprinter, top tt'er, top cobbler, key TDF domestique, stage hunter, points contender. Wait, thats like 7 for one.
I don't think that Wout is fading. Hell they were saying he was done after his 2019 crash in the TDF time trial. 2024 was bad with the big crash at Dwars Door Vlaanderen in March, but he came back pretty good for the Vuelta, maybe back to full form as he was in the green jersey and tied on points for the mountains jersey and had won 3 out of the first 16 stages when he had a possibly more damaging crash, which he could still be feeling the effects from all this season. The boy just needs a hard reset as long as he still has the stomach for it.
Edit. That was 6 not 7. ;)

Here's something I find a bit interesting regarding the transfers of Decathlon (and I guess we have to refer to them by that name when talking about next year, as they won't be called AG2R any longer then):

Incoming for next year they have (so far):
Three Dutchmen.
Two Belgians.
One Dane.
One Frenchman (from the Devo team)

Outgoing for next year are:
Four Frenchmen (including both national champions)
One Belgian
One Italian

(There are also four Frenchmen, and an Irishman listed on PCS as being outgoing. However, from what I understand those guys simply don't have a - known - contract for next year, and could just as easily have their contracts extended.)

This means that - as far as things are standing right now - there will only be 9 French riders on the team for next year. However, I feel fairly certain they'll promote a guy like Sparfel.

It's also interesting to note that out of 9 incoming riders for this year, 4 were from the Devo Team, and 1 was from the U19 team, for next year they have - so far - promoted a grand total of one guy; definitely related to the budget increase.
