One week to go.
8 brave men fight for the 50-USD-Grand Prix.

One request for the future winner: You should put a foto of yourself with the received 50-$-Bill in the avatar, and use a permanent link like "Winner of the Great Grand Tour Game 2011" in your posts. I hope that will make good advertising for next year, because i plan 64 players in 2012. With two leagues of each 32 entrees ("Europe" vs. "World").

Thanks alot in advance. :)

This time my list had 50+ riders  for the Top-20, so i used my old "successful tactic" to go by WC-Status and weight to trim the list to 20 riders. Hope that will be enough to finish 1st.

I was surprised that Kittel wasn´t picked more. I personally think he´s on the same level as Cav, since he "destroyed" the world sprinting elite at Poland. Now he "only" has to come trou for me scoring double points. ;)

Yo Foxxy, guess who's back from holiday.
Made a few tables.

Stages overview. Yellow boxes mean 2 or less picks for a stage, red boxes mean 3 or more. White boxes of course signify no picks.

https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Au5sEKCajcWMdGVNQVVTeWFaMWNaa0NOWnRxdW5rOGc&hl=en_US

User-Rider GC crosstab. Easy to see if user X has selected rider X for his GC top 20. Also shows how many times each rider has been picked for the GC.

Enjoy guys.

Already respect to Mortand. Even if Lastras doesn't win it. Should get double points for this :)

Everyone's a winner! Well, at least Lastras and the two of us.

Can't really be too happy seeing all my GC hopefuls in another game was in the 3.06 group today, but who cares - it's Lastras' day!

Great pick indeed! I win the stage in another cycling game (with 500 entrants) by picking him, so I don't complain at all :D

You´d better picked him here for the money. :D

Woohoo!

I demand a bonus point for that one! Or at least I'm giving myself a bonus point and an approving pat on the back

Great pick vs. all of us picking sprinters. Really well done. Congrats. :)

P.S.: Tomorrow we´ll also have a first picture of who´s going to be favourite to win this game.... I´ll make the first provisionals tomorrow too.

Is this the first correct breakaway prediction of the game? Can't remember if someone got one right in the Giro or Tour.

That was a good Q, so i just looked at the Stats.

Mortand also had the only other official breakaway winner (Vicioso in Stage 3 of the Giro). The rest of us should just give up on picking breakaways (of which i actually did for this Vuelta firstly :)).

Cobble had picked SSanchez at the Tour, but was out of competition thanks to his banning, thus too late sending. :D BTW, he also holds the record for stage wins in a GT (Seven).

I found some time already, so i´ll edit Boomcies overviews on the first page now.

Sasquatch
may have done the greatest Top-20-Tipp ever. AGeniez that is, who holds laterne rouge after stage 3. ;)

I have my stupid pick either. Having Menchov at 1st is already a big bust, loosing 1.23 yesterday and i guess even more today. I have said good-bye to this tipp already.

Hey, join the club! :p
At least you waited until the end to pick Menchov. I picked him in the Giro.
