14 of the top 20, 2 stages (both conti) but 7 in the correct spot.

conti and scarponi aside, i think i've got lucky.

I wouldn´t call that luck. I think 14 must be the record. Well earned 23 points. And no blunders in those 6 who didn´t made the Top-20 (only maybe DiLuca. But most of us miss-overestimated him, to say it in GWB´s words)....

I know my 13 right picks were pure skill :p

Early call for the TdF:

Obviously, all players start at Zero points (see Post #1)

But keep in mind that winning or finishing high in the standings wasn´t completely for nothing. The 1st Tie-Breaker-Step will be TOTAL points scored. All other tie-breaker steps are back to zero (players don´t keep for example earned stage wins from the giro).

Example:
A.) Hartog and Greenflame are tied each with 18 points for 16th at the end of the TdF. Hartog wins the tie breaker because of most Total-Points (43 vs. 39).
B.) Timmy Rabo and Sylvester are tied each with 18 points for 16th at the end of the TdF. Since both would have the same Total-Points (37 vs. 37), the player with most stage wins at the TdF advances (From Step-2 on, Tie-breakers are determined only from TdF-Results).

Hope all is clearly explained...

It will be harder.
Whom to pick? AC over AS or visa versa...
Who of those performing good at the Giro will also perform good at the TdF?
More hilly and flat stages, less (easier to predict) MTF´s. Who´s gonna win breakaway stages?
What are we doing with "0-Suspicion-List-40-Year-Horner"? A bigger phenomen than Armstrong ever was (I think i´ll refuse to pick him and trust the AFLD).
Questions over Questions....

Ah, I read that some people missing the cut could still enter, if some of the cutmakers dissappear till le Tour or don't deliver a team in time.

So, dear cutmissers, we should start the mission NOW.
We could support our goal actively, by mocking, provocating and mobbing some cutmakers out of the forum or into a lifetime-ban. lol :D
We could also try to manipulate some pee and blood, or carry some cutmakers to CAS.

the more i think about this (pro cycling usually occupies my mind on my ride home from work, there are plenty of cars trying to solo FTW that must be chased :) which prompts me) the more difficult it is.

going to 20 rather than 10 is/was a masterstroke. there are just so many people who could do it. some of the less favoured teams have 3-4 who could do it. particularly if you take into account that the likes of nocentini have (i think) finished top 20.

great competition.
thanks foxy

just did a short list off guys who might have top 20 ambitions.
I got almost 50 riders

progress...

Damn it Timmy. You're taking this serious :).
I'll have to shift into second gear as well!
Also, 50 names aren't a "short" list.

meh.
my work place can be dull, but I sit in front of a pc, it's just an alternative of doing work :D

but yes this time I mean business !
I do like this game

I got to 21 riders in about 60seconds without thinking about it, now I realise I have no French.

The hardest part will be fading certain individuals you think will have a bad Tour.

I have split them into a few groups: 1-2, 3-10, 10-21, and I guess the rest will be "outsiders".

LOL. You guys make me laugh. Nice.... My list still includes around 200 riders, meaning i have no clue whom to pick. Not even if i pick AC or AS as No. 1

Sorry about this Foxxy. It was a fun game

Just filled in the list.. That was much, much harder than I thought. It isn't until now I realise how many contenders for a top-20 spot there are.

Good luck everyone :)

i just looked at last years tdf results.

how did kevin de weert finish 18th?

i don't mean clinic, just was there a big break that i've forgotten about or was it genuine climbing consistency?

loads of people could top 20
