Kristoff top 3 and I am happy (even if Cav wins by 3 bike lengths). And if he (Kristoff) doesnt, Cav also shall not... then I am happy too.

Kristoff was on a tremendously constant relax mode to have all the energy left for a powerful sprint: 156-157-157-159 in the last four stages. So far so good :)

A break a la Giro to survive would also be fine...

If have highlighted each player in the provisionals after stage 20 (see post above of this page) to see who is already qualified, is in division title races, etc...

There is not much scenarios for stage 21 (unless position swaps happen in the T-20 of the CG; see also my last post)... Unfortunately I am in the middle of a scenario, and for the wrong reason.

G2F; wins division title if (1) Kristoff wins, or (2) Kristoff finishes T-3 while Cavendish does not win, or (3) both Kristoff and Cavendish do not finish T-3
Hugo; wins division title if (1) Cavendish wins, or (2) Cavendish finishes T-3 while Kristoff does not finish better than fourth

Walle; wins division title if (1) Cavendish wins, or (2) Cavendish finishes T-3 while Kristoff does not win, or (3) both Kristoff and Cavendish do not finish T-3
Mutschi; wins division title if (1) Kristoff wins, or (2) Kristoff finishes T-3 while Cavendish does not finish better than fourth

FB; clinches Vuelta spot if (1) Kristoff finishes better than fourth, or (2) both Kristoff and Cavendish do not finish T-3
Jspear; clinches Vuelta spot if Cavendish finishes better than fourth, while Kristoff does not

Thanks for working that out Foxxy. We are both hit by the only movement in T-20: Mollema passing Frank. How annoying. Still have to get over Walles luck that Thomas looses exactly 11 places to end up 15th on Stage 19. I mean what are the f....g odds? Two blows that might cost me the DC. It really is time for Kristoff to come through now. Cav lost most of his lead out train so there is hope.......go Kristoff.

1+ Now things (speak luck) has to even out. :)
I had (IIRC) three 4th places in stages, and have many CG guys just one spot off the correct one...
Anyway, now the stage is not toal meaningless. I try to see the positive...

I didnt even have him and thought WTF... Clinic or not, those riders work their butt off, while the nitpickers sit in warm sofa and play executioner. If they at least would be consistent... Anyway, you know there always is the call-up chance

Can 2 of you forget to send for the next round? I think I will be 2nd reserve.

To make matters worse for you; Had Jorik send his picks in time (he is at 26.0 points out-of-competition), he would be in the group instead of VinoAE. So you would have been safe...

Division Leaders at the various provisionals (15 stages in total):

Diggercuz led (and will lead) his division for exactly 5 stages during the Giro (stages 20, 21) & TdF (19-21), yet comes away with two titles. Talk about peaking at the right moment...

Congrats Foxx. Really deserved after all the amazing work you put in this game :)

Too bad for Jspear. Didn't expect you to be gone. We had a good battle in the Giro and finished just 0,5 point behind me in 3rd so you were drawn to another division, which turned out to be the division of death. Tough luck

Thank you Flamin...

Yes too strong Anquetil, but that was the draw... I wont change rules b/c of that (thus winner of Anquetil + me, and two best of each other division will be set again, the other qualified players will be drawn), coz I think everything evens out over the long run. Jspear otoh indeed was one strong candidate to go deep in the competition. So, sorry...

And congrats to Mutschi to take the division win on the last day. Really deserved with tons of stage scores...

And congrats to everybody else making it trou to the Grand Final GT.

The non qualified; Hope to see you next year again... and always keep in mind there is the possibility of "call-ups".

Was a great ride. My heart was pumping like crazy when I saw Kristoff making it up front, and then just surviving in the wind. That was awesome.

:)
