Besides it is too late anyway to step away from the "Inside-Cut", here is the reason behind it:
1.) The final winner shall really deserve it (ofc luck will play its part too), so a little more deep thinking, and a little more work, must be asked for. No one said it shall be easy.
2.) The cuts are "the salt in the soup". A little extra thrill is certainly not for the worse.
3.) The original idea was to ask us players for a "perfect T-20". Considered must be two weeks guys who drop in the 3rd week (a good example is Gallopin, ), and "ninja guys" who slug it out day in day out for three weeks and thus end up T-20...
But to make things easier (dont know if you all followed the thread in the middle of the TdF), two T-20 replacements can be named (upfront, together with the stage picks and T-20s), and used after the cut (example: Zubeldia is picked as 19th, Trofimov as 20th originally. Player named Roche and Ten Dam as possible replacements. Now Roche for example can be put into 19th, while Zubeldia is picked off. Further, but not a must, Ten Dam can replace Trofimov on 20th, as 2nd used replacement).
Or one T-20 position swap is allowed after the cut (example a player has Landa on 1st, Froome on 4th: He can change Froome to 1st and Landa to 4th). Such position swap means basically two corrections, thus replacement T-20s can not be used. Either a swap or 1-2 T-20 replacement players.
I think it´s awesome: Like a soccer match where coach uses jokers for a late game surge.
I am pretty sure you guys will like that option.
Further: One stage replacement player can be used after the cut (also named upfront, together with the send T-20 and original stage picks).
Example: Player has Sagan on stage 19. Player named Degenkolb as possible stage replacement upfront. Now he can bring in Degenkolb for stage 19, and drop off Sagan.
But take care of the "3 stages" rule. If Degenkolb the replacement is already picked for three stages originally, he can not be used as a replacement stage pick ofc.
4.) Nice side-effect: Tactical thinking is asked for. Will be fun.

Thanks again for doing this foxxy, you continue to impress with provisionals, scenarios, and everything else we need to calm the nerves
Also congrats on moving on, I'll see you at the vuelta!
Thanks a lot. And I have to announce that Diggercuz will help out for the future with a better spread-sheet which will help me a lot. He worked out everything so far, that stage provisionals can be published in a hurry and for every single stage.
That will also save me time, so I can use it to post more interesting stats...
