I've a very good T-20 imo, after a long time struggling to make a selection

Re: Re:

Will be a thrilling one, yeah. Not yet sure which tactic I´ll use with the replacements. Gives me some headaches. But the good news is: I have cut down to 25 CG riders... already. ;)

LOLZ. You also make the same mistake over and over again. Only the other way around than I. Wasting time for stage picks, while I do it on the CG... and it (almost) always shows in the standings.

Phew, the picks are out of my hands now. This is probably my most lazy and half arsed picks in the history of this splendid game, and I must admit it's been more a chore for me this time, as I can feel my interest in cycling is on the wane. I have barely followed the racing since the Tour, and I have no idea what to do with the GC riders returning from the Tour versus the fresher guys from the Giro. But I assume everybody's got the same problem regarding the latter part.

But, hey, it's the season final, so bring it on!

Official Announcement:

Added the following rule (see also front page, post two, Tournament rule 6.*):

6.) Players could be excluded from competition if not following common sense of fairness, and/or intentionally not playing to their best abilities (like for example sending picks with lots of riders not riding the given GT; meaning the player doesn´t really care about the game or give it a serious try). There are always players waiting in line who actually enjoy the game, but may have been cut through some bad luck (like missing a spot point here or there, or just missing out on stages with some 4th place finishes) in previous round(s).

The Commissioner, Rule Committee

* Lovely, isn´t it? Now I sound like those nitpickers who excluded Sepulveda in the TdF for sitting in a car for 0.00001% of the TdF-Route because he broke rule 7bXII, section 5b, page 1.023... ;)

Did someone actually do this?

Not really... don´t wanna imply anything. But over the course of this game, sometimes I got picks with lots of riders not riding the upcoming GT. Even though I normally send the startlist-link via PM together with the info-about-the-deadline...
So I felt the urge to add this rule.

I always give the benefit of doubt, so no one has to worry (for now). In any case, I always would send a warning first before taking action (to prevent misinterpretations), in case I have some strange feelings about picks not being serious enough for pro-cycling fans/critics/enthusiasts/insiders. :)

Picks sent!Toughest ever just edged last vuelta!
I always feel uncomfortable doing vuelta picks aśI usually have 2 weeks off cycling in august, but I sent a bit risky picks, for the final podium or relegation before the cut!

Im excited,bring it on :)

lol foxxy with his ridiculous shortlists. I could barely scrape together 20 riders for the top 20.

OK, understand. Thats why you dont even bother to send replacements. You had just run out of names. ;)
Kidding aside: Send them now. The deadline is nearing (circa half an hour from now)...

All but one made it. The deadline is over. Now I call up a very happy (I guess) "first-in-line" Jspear... Now ofc he needs some time to make his picks.
In the meantime I look for rider corrections (like if some don´t ride that were picked), have some after-work beers, a little sleep, and then tomorrow at...

... 14.00 "cyclingnews" time the draw will take place. After that, I´ll put the picks into google.docs. So before the TTT starts, the picks will be online.

Good luck to all in the Grand Final. May the best win. :)

The clear cut favourite is G2F now. My aim is the same: First to make the cut, and then finish T-10... Or, Ruud ninjas his way to the title. Now that would be something. Shall be interesting, no matter what. :)

We´ll see Hugo. May you end up as morale winner if indeed scoring the most points out-of-competition... I´ll put your picks online too. They´ll be in page 2 at Division Anquetil tomorrow.

In other news: I am truly pumped up now. I like my T-20. My "bread-and-butter" as always. I am confident. And the stage picks? I better keep silence about them. Pretty sure they´ll suck again.

Just got a PM from Jspear. In his very fair competitive ways, he told me you (Hugo) are back in, since you deserved it more. He steps aside. Hats up. So I´ll put Jspears picks as out-of-competition online.

And that makes Hugo the co-favourite in a split second... Too bad, I thought I had increased my chances. ;)

Nah, he isn't. He clearly must be tired by now dominating so many Tours. He will fade. :D
