Then you missed 95% of the race. Don't worry though, they came out with these sweet new black 28 jerseys for all the real cycling fans. I'm sure they reserved you one. You can pick it up at your local Radioshack. Hope rides again.

That's just.... Dumb. Really.

Hey, nobody has explained to me how those Michelob Ultra ads on Livestrong.com benefit cancer...

When you hear Armstrong utter the words "cancer awareness," make sure you understand that it helped him purchase this:

Sh*t, that's nice.

When I was little, bycicle champions earned a little bit more than minimum wage. However's he's done it, that man certainly knows how to milk a cow.

The headline should read: "Can cancer survive Armstrong?"

Oh so wrong, clinicians around the world rely on the LS database of information to help patients in treatments and cures as well as their clinical research.

Been there, it is a fact.

Nice sidestep, but to suggest that providing electronic records (note that those records are available in other forms) is the same as suggesting that research on cancer drugs is being funded by the LAF is ludicrous. That was the original ignorance that brought about this ugly fact finding mission I was forced into doing. I am sorry I had to expose all of you to the ugly fact that Armstrong and his foundation are taking money that could be sent to foundations that are better in using it, and funneling it off for advertising and pools. I would think that once you found out that Livestrong.com is a for profit, and provides Mr Armstrong with personal income, AND that it gets MUCH MORE TRAFFIC than does Livestrong.org, you would change your perception that it is about little more than his ego. I guess you can lead a horse to water and all...

Yea, I don't begrudge a man the finer things in life. Only a man who do it on the back of cancer patients.

To the legions of the Armstrong Army: If you believe that his exorbitant speaking fees, and for profit site with the SAME NAME as his now dying non-profit site are good uses for your money, then I have to ask you if you really want to help cancer patients, or do you just like the fact that a little yellow bracelet makes you look like you care to people who don't know any different?

When I think of cycling races, I think of LA. When I think of cancer, I think of LA. When I think of cancer to cycling, I think of LA. Now (hope) his cycling career is finally over, cycling will now be cured of this LA disease!

Agree. Lance claims LeMond is bitter and jealous, but he is the one that actually behaves that way. Not even a Twitter congratulations for Alberto but shots at the New York Times.

Shots at the New York Times? Linky? On his Twitter feed?

Yes, he started to make this thing bigger than the race itself. This was a mistake.

Do 28 million patients really think it's about them here?

Actually they do feel some sort of a connection with Lance and he gives them a general idea of hope. But in "REAL WORLD" fashion you just smashed all their dreams. To them they can care less about "The Sport" and "The Sports Integrity" its more of the fact that they can still beat cancer. I hope cancer doesn't affect you or your loved ones but you have to understand how rude that was of you. Keep hating Lance all you want, Leave the cancer patients out of it.

The jerseys were made BEFORE the TdF.

- With Lance, it is about cancer. He came back to get publicity for the fight and make it worldwide. He did exactly that. He has won. The jerseys were ready for the last stage long before anyone knew where he would be in the standings. Radio Shack bought the sponsorship and the company can support LiveSTRONG on it's jerseys all it wants. I switched my phone and electronics buying to RS as a result of its support for the cancer fight. I will always go there.

- Incredible the number of people who insult him for being successful on the bike, in business, and as one of the most successful men or women to launch a campaign for charity based on his own personal experience with a disease. Shame on Danny and Marlo Thomas for taking all that money from other causes to help save the lives of little kids whose families can't pay. Just who the hell do they think they are?

- Contrador doesn't earn congratulations by winning a road race. He'll earn them when he starts to act like a champion. Frankly, I don't think he has it in him.

Maybe Lance needs to leave the cancer patients out of his doping cover-up?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VfiXAaEQiY

Using the suffering of cancer patients to fight doping revelations is just sick. It is an affront to everyone who had, has, or will get cancer. It makes me sick. "People have cancer, so I didn't dope"...it SHOULD offend you.

...I loved Cipollini for all the controversial suits he wore during his long career. I'm not going to be a hypocrite all of a sudden and get mad at Armstrong for doing something similar.
I'm not either ...so long as every Radio Shack rider is fined 5,000 Swiss francs, same as Cipo used to ever time he showed up for a start out of uniform.

I think the UCI stopping RS and making them change has brought more attention to the "28" thing, than if they would have let them wear them.

So who pays you haters. I see the one you hate advertising all over cycling news. He pays the bills so you can trash RS and LA. If I were LA I would quit sponsoring the haters on this blog. Who in the name of goodness haters pays you. I just gotta know. I have been warned for being offensive in this blog. What about the moderators in this blog who speak th D word in their blogs on this forum. Please fill me in.

Hey remember when you predicted Contador was going to have some sort of crash and wouldn't win the Tour?

LOL. Good times. :D

Turns out, a crash was exactly what Lance needed to excuse his utter failure this Tour.

By the way, when do those awesome new jerseys go on sale? I can't wait to pay to advertise for a third-rate consumer electronics store.
