Hey remember when you predicted Contador was going to have some sort of crash and wouldn't win the Tour?

LOL. Good times. :D

Turns out, a crash was exactly what Lance needed to excuse his utter failure this Tour.

By the way, when do those awesome new jerseys go on sale? I can't wait to pay to advertise for a third-rate consumer electronics store.

Contador exceeded my expectations this year in every way. And Astana....ah they rode so USPOSTAL like. Ahh the memories. Chaupaue Astanta and Contador.

I have to agree with the US Postal comment. Unfortunately. :(
I don't see it. I think much is being made of one early showing by Navarro, who remained pretty good but not supernatural for the rest of the Tour. I'd even say I expected more from Tiralongo (and from Hernández, but apparently he crashed more than Armstrong). There's Vino, of course, but that's a bit different.

Good attempt to boost his PR image ahead of the impending "witch hunt".

Witch Hunt needs it own thread IMHO

Isn't that statement an admission of guilt?

I have posted this before!

Listen up you nitwits. My mom died of cancer just over 4 years ago. If anyone wants to do something to FIGHT this disease you should donate your money or your time to the American Cancer Society. Lance (other than using the disease as an excuse not to answer the current allegations) is basically worthless in regards to fighting cancer. Ask my Mom's oncologist.
I am an American. He is a fraud and a joke to the people out there on the front lines. A few visits to hospitals do nothing. Again, call any local oncologist and ask him/her if they give a *** about your super hero. Wearing a *** little livestrong bracelet does not go far during hospice care.

Todays display was all about
Look at me me me me me me
me me me me me me me me ...(Lance)

I like that.

Yeah...basically today pharmboy took the very thing that gave him all his money and fame and "power" -- the Tour de France -- and shoveled a big heap of disrespect upon it. Then he pulled a spoilt cry baby brat routine when they slapped his hand and told him 'No'.

As someone mentioned, if he REALLY wanted to bring awareness to the 28 million (and the money), he would have slapped a '28' on the team jersey right from the start of the race -- exposure every day for 20 days. He could have been giving interviews all through the race about cancer and his crusade, instead of flipping the bird to everyone and being a d!ck in general.

It wasn't about awareness of the 28 million cancer suffers, it was suffering the awareness of 1 cancer.

Good luck in court, pharmy.

Wearing that little yellow bracelet fulfills many people's need to be seen as caring about something without having to put forth the effort of actually doing so.

"Look at me! I fight cancer with Lance because I wear a little bracelet mass-produced in China where lack of environmental regulations are causing cancer epidemics. But no, let's not think down the line. Pay the $1 to buy that little bracelet, and presto! You're a cancer fighter!

I'm not saying this is everybody. There are many cancer survivors for whom Lance represents hope. I understand that, and I only wish that Lance were deserving of the honor of being a beacon of hope for people in time of need.

At http://www.charitynavigator.org/ the American Cancer Society is not rated as high as the Lance Armstrong Foundation in any way. They both do good work.

You can give your money to whomever you would like.
I would not give one red penny to livestrong...or $40 to chalkbot
etc etc etc...
Livestrong is a joke. For every million they collect it costs $400,000.00
That means for all you people that are slow at math that only 60 cents out f every dollar they collect goes to pay for (collecting the dollar).

doh!

again, make a call to your local oncologist or STFU! Care to buy a vowel?

So who pays you haters. I see the one you hate advertising all over cycling news. He pays the bills so you can trash RS and LA. If I were LA I would quit sponsoring the haters on this blog. Who in the name of goodness haters pays you. I just gotta know. I have been warned for being offensive in this blog. What about the moderators in this blog who speak th D word in their blogs on this forum. Please fill me in.

Wake up dude 1400+ posts and you haven't learned anything about your hero?

Being able to get sponsors and buy ads that support cycling web sites doesn't make you a good person. Your actions do.

I guess I am a "hater"
I hate Frauds
I hate bullies
I hate liars
I hate anyone who retaliates against people who speak out for clean cycling.

Cancer is to Lance what 9/11 is to Rudy Giuliani.

I guess the difference is that Lance had cancer, but Rudy did not get killed in a collapsing building or crashing airliner.

Also, not to be an apologist for livestrong, but I thought their goal was to help people living with cancer and provide education on cancer prevention. i.e. they do not directly fund cancer research. As always, it is up to an individual to decide which foundation to give his donation money to.

Under George W SFB Bush cancer research funding declined more than ever..This was also the era of Lance..In spite of Lance's high profile photo ops mountain biking with Bush there would be little federal funding of cancer research because big pharma would rather wait 10 years than have their patents owned partly by the federal government.. It will take 30 years to make up for the time lost..No amount of yellow flea collars will change this.

At least all cancers get a go. In Australia everything gets decked out in pink for breast cancer awareness – even whole football teams – to the detriment of less fashionable cancers like bowel cancer, I think this has something to do with society's obsession with boobies.

Why bring up all these other charities? You started out with the American Cancer Society compared to the LAF. They don't look to impressive compared to the LAF. I still think both do good work. I am sorry for whatever pain your mother experienced with her cancer. I do not forgive her for reproducing.

hope doesn't ride anymore... :D

Laurent Fignon informed us that Lance may do some races next year in order to continue to promote his cancer awareness message - like in Australia.

I guess someone forgot to tell Fignon that the $2m goes straight into Armstrong's pocket and not to cancer awareness. The scam is almost foolproof.

After Thierry Adam and Fignon had repeated for about the millionth time that Armstrong was going to ride the Champs Elyséés for the last time, at least Laurent Jalabert reminded them that he had already ridden the Champs for the last time back in 2005.

It's all about Lance, and the press are too willing to promote the myth.

You don't have to whine about everything Armstrong does you know. I loved Cipollini for all the controversial suits he wore during his long career. I'm not going to be a hypocrite all of a sudden and get mad at Armstrong for doing something similar.

No, no, they DO have to whine about everything Armstrong does, it gives them a reason for living. To know they can go to bed and then get up and whine about Armstrong. When he has gone there will be a void in their lives that only....well whining about Cavendish could probably fill:D

Well, didn’t take long for me to get sick of this forum but this takes the cake. There is simply way too much cynicism and blind hatred. It is pathetic. I go so far as to say that reading these forums for the past months has made cycling less enjoyable for me.

Absolutely couldnt have put it better myself.
This forum has little to do with cycling and more to do with angry people venting their frustrations at whatever is in front of them.
