Obviously not. I think these are the same guys who couldn't believe it when Slagter dropped a few local (Pro)Conti riders in a breakaway a couple of years ago.

Gradients approach 15% on the first climb and upwards of 20% on the second climb.
They are also over 3000 meters - pretty thin air.

But, I agree - they seem to be going so slow.

Yep, the air is thin up there. At the top it is close to 11,000 feet.

I love riding in that area. Road riding is super and the mountain biking is even better.
