Nice to see an insanely talented rider get both tactics and luck on his side...I was still fully expecting him to flat, or lose it round that tight bend on the descent, or drop a chain...
Great work by the whole Aussie team as well by the sounds of it, even if that part of the race wasn't shown on TV here because Mark Webber was crashing out of a GP as usual (seems like his luck is back to normal).
Gotta feel a tad sorry for Cancellara, but, hey, world TT champion and fifth in the road race isn't too bad a return
If they're looking for a hill to add to the Worlds course, I'd suggest a couple of laps of
the Glenmore hill (13% average for nearly 1km, peaks at around 16%). Nice little detour on the way from Melbourne to Geelong.
