Actually there IS an I....

The team party Lance attended was spelled R-A-D-I-O-S-H-A-C-K

I don't recall that Radio Shack had a team in the 2009 or that Lance was racing for that team in the 2009 Tour de France. My mistake. Yay Lance!

52 pages if you edit your UserCP :)

Also, I am English, and a Bradley Wigans Fan, but that doesn't stop me from making cracks at him, and I give cracks at Armstorng cos he is a tool.

I think most people who have been here for any length of time (I lurked since May) are pretty much at the end of their tethers regarding that person. I think he has gone now. hopefully forever.

40posts/page is essential.

The thing about that picture, what one needs to understand about that pic...

The last time Lance stood on that Podium, he was flanked by Basso & Jan.
Lance gave us the "Believe Speech" that day. Quite stirring I might add.

If by "stirring" you mean causing one's stomach to rumble with nausea, then I agree 100%.:D

However, then came 2006 and Operation Puerto.
Basso, Jan, and even Alberto were implicated:(

I look at that picture from 2009 and I think -
****Lance no longer Believes****
Oh well...he will keep plugging along I suppose. He is a fighter.

But I still do not recall any comments after he lost that were not gracious....

He shoulda hit that high note and got off the stage, like when George left the meeting at Kruger Industrial Smoothing.

Instead, he comes back for an encore when people had their fill of His Lance-ness. Ya' gotta know when to quit. Lance doesn't.

I'm beginning to come around to your theory.

Armstrong did not speak to media for the second straight day, but Team RadioShack spokesman Philippe Maertens said the seven-time Tour champion was "not happy but not unhappy either."

Maybe he gets it together at MSR . . . though I doubt it.

They did not "Give" AIG 40 billion they loaned it $180 Billion. AIG sold their Asian group for $35 billion yesterday. This will go to paying down the loan which has about $70 billion outstanding.

ok...sounds like a good bunch of folks...and glad they might pay it off...this is like loaning the local drug dealer 50 grand while he is broke to get new stuff...and he pays you back in no time...of course race, the government did not "give" aig anything did they...not a damn dime and they will pay it back in all honesty....****ing joke man...

That looks absolutely nothing like Machado. I know your Evans-goggles distort reality, but that's a bit much, no? ;)

It's Paulinho. Those three rode together at Liberty Seguros. That's how they know each other.

EDIT: for reference, this is just how different Machado looks

Well Armstrong finally spoke to the media:

http://sports.yahoo.com/sc/news;_ylt=Al.bPluPhkHSC9cKmLL8K9l.grcF?slug=ap-armstrong-vueltademurcia&prov=ap&type=lgns

Worried would be too strong of a word,” Armstrong said Sunday. “I’m aware of (my performance), but not too stressed.

“My position (on the bike) was good but the power was not,” said Armstrong, who travels to South Africa on Monday to take part in a race next weekend to promote his cancer charity.

Re: the race to promote his cancer charity is a race he's getting paid to do...... How is that promotion?

I'm sure one of his supporters will explain how it works.

Paulinho was of course Contador's teammate at Astana, too.

Maybe an unknown side effect of EPO use is accelerated ageing in early middle-age ;)

Contrador vs Armstrong fanboy drama

The fan boys are busy making dramas, of dragons and kings, most of which live only in their heads. These people should work for animations and sitcoms.

Latest one from the Lance Armstrong fanpage on Facebook :

Russ Slater opened up the "The Contrador Showdown Begins" thread :
Lance is wily. Great race veterans always know how to setup their opponents esp. younger, stronger athletes like Contrado. Lance will feed Contrador his ego on a platter and let him eat it in large helpings before the media all the way into June and through the TDF race. Lance knows actions speak louder than words and he'll wait and play his game of smarts vs. ego all day long. For Lance is smart and Contrador is all ego. Contrador needs to hear how great he is, he has to have people tell him this everyday, and the media especially. His hot Spanish blood demands no less than hearing about his personal greatness, his personal prowess, his youth and victories against a retired legend who worked as the consummate teammate in the 2009 TDF. Radio Shack was built for one reason... to destroy and dismantle Astana and all their leaders. They will do this bicyclist by bicyclist, one by one, day by day, stage by stage until there is nothing left but Contrador bare and naked to the world. At which point Lance and Team Radio Shack will feast on what's left of his ego. Nasty business, but race veterans know exactly how to negate youth and strength and ability, and Lance is nothing less than crafty and sly. It'll be a good showdown and it's started now with Lance giving all the plaudits to his past teammate Contrador. Beware Contrador for its not what it seems.
