I gather Russ never heard the phrase "Loose lips sink ships". Thanks to him, Tex and co are gonna have to go back to the old drawing board in order to get Contador, uh, naked.

That looks absolutely nothing like Machado. I know your Evans-goggles distort reality, but that's a bit much, no? ;)

It's Paulinho. Those three rode together at Liberty Seguros. That's how they know each other.

EDIT: for reference, this is just how different Machado looks

http://machadotiago.blogspot.com/
It was just a guess...:D Mahcado doesn't look that different and others thought different as well!

You know, I guess I'm just hopelessly "Old School" because I've just never once considered getting completely humiliated in a bike race to be an effective intimidation tactic. I didn't even think that abject failure could be considered a tactic at all.

What an achievement for RadioShack to be leading the Teams Classification in Paris-Nice after the prologue.

Lance is wily. Great race veterans always know how to setup their opponents esp. younger, stronger athletes like Contrado. Lance will feed Contrador his ego on a platter and let him eat it in large helpings before the media all the way into June and through the TDF race. Lance knows actions speak louder than words and he'll wait and play his game of smarts vs. ego all day long. For Lance is smart and Contrador is all ego. Contrador needs to hear how great he is, he has to have people tell him this everyday, and the media especially. His hot Spanish blood demands no less than hearing about his personal greatness, his personal prowess, his youth and victories against a retired legend who worked as the consummate teammate in the 2009 TDF. Radio Shack was built for one reason... to destroy and dismantle Astana and all their leaders. They will do this bicyclist by bicyclist, one by one, day by day, stage by stage until there is nothing left but Contrador bare and naked to the world. At which point Lance and Team Radio Shack will feast on what's left of his ego. Nasty business, but race veterans know exactly how to negate youth and strength and ability, and Lance is nothing less than crafty and sly. It'll be a good showdown and it's started now with Lance giving all the plaudits to his past teammate Contrador. Beware Contrador for its not what it seems.

up is down, black is white, lies are reality, Russ Slater u r a fukkin muppet.

Armstrong is a quitter.

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/08032010/58/armstrong-concedes-contador-good.html

It doesn't look to be in my favour...(but) we'll go to the race and see who is best," Armstrong said.

"It isn't essential (for me to win). I don't need to especially, other than to reward all the hard work. There is no difference between winning seven or eight.

Methinks Murcia opened his eyes to reality a bit. I suspect he and JB thought it would go better.

Clearly. It looks as if Grey Tex is finally accepting that his body can no longer fulfill the demands of his will.
Now, all we need, is for the fanboy numpties like this Russ Slater character, to follow suit.
That is some of the worst, jingoistic crap, I've ever partially read.

There is no doubt that Lance had to defeat many MANY dopers on his way to his 7 TdF victories. But seriously - he really IS too OLD for that sort of thing now.

Anyway, it would be irresponsible to think that the RadioShack Team is JUST about Lance. He said that HIMSELF many months ago. Old news. Nothing new. Move along, nothing to see here. FingerBangbang.

The team obviously isn't just about Lance. If that were the case, they would only work to support Lance's aspirations and nothing else. Why even show up to other races? They will support Levi in Cali, Nice, etc. Hell we even saw Lance leading out Steegmans Down Under, an ineffective lead-out, but he was still working for a teammate. Had he not been injured I suspect they would have worked for him in a few classics as well. However, come July, it will all be about Lance; they might as well change the name to Team Lance presented by Radio Shack.

Your first paragraph is so laughable I'm sure someone else will have beaten me to posting the appropriate response.

Now your second one--it's simply your fault for believing every bit of drivel that comes from Armstrong's mouth. The RadioShack team IS just about your hero. It is a stage racing, grand tour (The Tour) focused team geared around getting Armstrong on that top step in Paris.

The only reason LA hasn't got a 10 man squad which excusively take part in a few warm-up races and then ends the season with the Tour is because of the UCI rules. The rest are there to make up the numbers.

The CN story includes LA's statement about what a great "story" it will be. I think he'll set the stage for some drama, however contrived; to prolong the myth and legend. Next stop...the Hollywood biopic.
We can't discount that this is just more webspin from publicist's and paid personnel.
