They burn nitromethane.

Carboncrank said:That's not what happened. No matter how many times you say it, it's not going to make it true. It's on video, you can watch it. It's public.
When Alberto attacked past Kloden and Lance, which was a perfectly timed move taking advantage of a downwind leg of the switchback, Lance did not accelerate. When Andy Schleck went around him right before the turn Lance got his wheel, which is exactly what he's supposed to do. Later when Evans and Wiggins go to the front of the group Lance and Levi rode 3rd and 4th, again, exactly what they should do as Wiggins was a full minute ahead of Andy Schleck in GC. At no time did Lance, Kloden or Levi ride at the front of the chase group. In the end Lance and Levi and Kloden finished behind Evans, Wiggins and both Schlecks.
Riding at the front is chasing, riding rear wheels is dragging.

I've watched that climb several times. Alberto timed it perfect, caught the wind, then got some help from the frickin motorcycle (good on him) and rode off.
The fact that he only got 20 seconds from it owes to it being so near the top when he went.

UpTheRoad said:I agree with your assessment on the stage to Arcalis. Astana didn't ride against Contador there, although I am sure Johann was screaming in AC's earpiece to slow down.
I think Race Radio made a mistake in the stage reference. Change Arcalis to Verbier and his post is corrected. Let's restart the discussion...do you believe that Armstrong and Kloden rode against Contador on the road to Verbier? It's on video; you can watch it. It's public.
It is very clear to me that they rode against him for as long as they could until they blew up.
Oh sure you did. Anybody could get those mixed up.Race Radio said:You are correct, at first I wrote Verbier, then changed it to Arcalis.....I was right the first time.
It is clear they worked against him on Verbier. Even Arbiter/BanProCycling/Great White/Carbon Crank will admit this.

I'll break it down for you like I did stage 7. What do you want me to look for?
Tomorrow.

Of course you will not admit it as a troll your only concern is to disrupt.
No need to invent some ridiculous story in order to get others to respond to you. The video is right here.

This picks up right after Contador attacks. Kloden and Armstrong are going full gas until they pop.
Surely we can all agree they were working against him?
Race Radio said:Yup, they were riding for him when Lance and Kloden pulled the chase group until they popped on Arcalis.

Carboncrank said:Lance didn't make any excuses and he and the team clearly rode for Alberto.
The fact that he did well clearly galls you and you refuse to give credit where credit is due.
Respect is due anyone on the podium in a Grand Tour even if it's grudging.

Thank you for the video RR. Clearly Kloden and LA are going full bore. I need to watch the version with dumb and dumber(Legatt and Sherwin) commenting though to see how they described the look on Lance's face. They usual 'look how Lance is just dancing on his pedals' and 'he's doesn't even look to be in trouble' and 'I think he's enjoying himself today' cannot be applied to that video.
LA was seriously struggling. Check out around the 4 min mark of that video...he's gutted. And after slagging Sastre when he won in 2008 it must be humbling for LA that he can't even stay on his wheel during that final climb.

It in fact may be proof of a mental disorder.
You hate him and yet he won't go away. A fact that so frustrates you because there is nothing you can do about it, that you become pathological.
I reading an article in Sceintific American about a study called; "Lacking control Increases Illusory Pattern Perception."
Illusory pattern perception defined as the identification of a coherent and meaningful interrelationship among a set of random or unrelated stimuli. such as the tendency to perceive false correlations, see imaginary figures, form superstitious ritual, and embrace conspiracy beliefs, among others.
"Feelings of control are essential for our well being. Lacking control is highly aversive, so we instinctively seek out patterns to regain control.
This group of member here is so frustrated by their absolute lack of control over his return to prominence and fame, so infuriated any time anybody says good things about him, which happens frequently here and in the press that they engage in exactly the behaviors described in the study.
I also think this perfectly explains the birthers, and tea baggers.
I hope you don't dwell on this hatred away from here. There's strong evidence that it's extremely detrimental to your overall cognitive abilities and your health and longevity.

Carboncrank said:This is how totally dishonest and bankrupt you can be.
The tape you supply does NOT prove what you say. IT PROVES COMPETELY THE OPPOSITE TO ANYONE THAT BOTHERS TO LOOK CLOSELY AT IT.
At the beginning it shows Kloden and Lance together, but as soon as you see the very first onscreen graphics a mere 15 seconds into the vid you can clearly see that A Schleck is 30 seconds back, F Schleck is 50 seconds back and Lance's group is 59. He spends about 1 minute at the front of the group that is 4th place through 8th, he's riding tempo, never out of the saddle, the gap to Alberto ever widening. It could be said at that point they are actually slowing the group. At 1'44 in you clearly see Wigoo, F Schleck and Nibali and no Lance or Kloden in the picture.
Even if you look earlier, right after Alberto went at times Lance and AK were at the front of a group but the whole group had no pace, wasn't gong anywhere. Look at the way Sastre bridges back up to them. If that was a counter attack it was the lamest one in the history of cycling.

pmcg76 said:This is simple, you accuse everyone else of being mentally ill, but in the who is better: Lance or Merckx thread, you cannot even admit Merckx was better but rather throw out some line about Merckx saying Lance is the best. I think 99.9% of people who follow cycling would say Merckx is the best and the other .1% are the usual clueless Lance fans. To not even be able to admit somebody was better than Lance is really ill.
On your latest rubbish, good team-mates do not ride tempo on the front of a group who are considered contenders chasing behing a team-mate going for the Tour win, never ever, ever. This is the most basic of team-tactics, you sit on said contenders and then sprint past them at the finish.
