Yes, now it is quite easy to see how the cannot manage to field a team for the second Grand Tour of the season.
They obviously don't have enough three week riders in their squad.

Oh and Steegmans has no chance. Rast didn't leave Astana to be on the sidelines. Someone has to be a donkey.

Johann's point exactly. They have so many three week riders that they can send a good team there without Lance, Levi, Kloden or Horner. :D

Tweetings? My guess is that French embassies all over America would be over run with LiveStrong rioters. Radio Shack would probably sue ASO. It would be utter chaos...

Although the rioters would constantly be falling down, not being able to get traction in their new Bont shoes....still chaos.

Not hate but observe

I have seen how fame and celebrity can alter decent people into unrecognizable monsters. Hopefully, Spain affords him a level of humility that more media savvy locations provide an environment where such a transformation is more likely.

I hope his maturity and self control OFF the bike can help him make good choices ON the bike, such as not bonking and blowin a race or missing a move on the road.

I don't think Lance should skip this tdf. He DOES help spread the profile of cycling, both pro racing and getting Americans fat behinds off the couch and exercising. (My own fat behind included.) It's fun to hate on Lance, but let's not blind ourselves to what benefits he may provide. Besides, I can't wait 18 months to see him get slaughtered at the tdf.

You make a thoughtful reply. My comments are not hate motivated since he certainly has brought a new dimension to professional cycling & I am more motivated by character analysis. However, if he really is going into politics the narcissism in his character will become dysfunctional - he is a control person and has to be the leader. We would not want him running the US government in the future. His recent invitation to cyclists to join him on an outing in Australia was not a genuine invitation just to cycle but it was his way of telling everyone that he has power to draw the crowd whenever he likes. His manner of disposing of his wife was indicative. However, back to cycling, I have stated elsewhere that RS team is all about him, for him, by him, with him and from him. So, if he says RS will not participate they won't. Brunyeel who is GC obsessed fits in well with the Armstrong obsession. They fit together. He is obsessed with the TdF because he still thinks he has a point to prove & mistakenly believes that everyone else is standing still while he gets better & can win it. If he only stood back and analysed matters more clearly, he would try to win some of the one day classics that have eluded his career. All these events demonstrate a personality that is very interesting for analysis.

They've turned sprinters into donkeys before, like Hincapie. Although Rast would be a better allround worker I think.

Than Hincapie?

Nooo.. Than Steegmans.....'tard.:D
It is quite unlikely that George is under consideration for the final RS tour spot this year.

Thought you meant Rast would end up a better all arounder than George.
Maybe I don't understand what you mean by donkey.

Just a guy who trundles along on the front for multi-kilos at a speed that makes everyone behind content to stay behind.
Super useful if you are the overall leader.
I said "allround worker not allrounder, there's a difference.

What races do you think Armstrong might win this year?

Given that Armstrong's tentative schedule has been released, be curious to see what some thought of his chances for a win....here is my rundown:

The Classics: in no way do I see him winning a classic...Milan/San Remo, Amstel, Liege...and no way in hell Flanders.

T.O.C: I actually can see him winning a stage of this. RS will put everyone out front for one day and ensure one mountain or semi mountain stage for the hype. He won't win the T.O.C. of course, but it will make "great" press and they can write lots of things about how he sacrificed himself for Levi ect ect.

The Dauphine or T.O Suisse...I think he will ride whichever race A.C does not. They won't want to blow their powder right before the tour and have him shown up. Could win a single stage at whichever....being generous there.

T.D.F.: I don't think he will win a single stage...I am guessing either a DNF or 6-11th...

summation: one stage of TOC...possible one more stage in something else except T.D.F.

sorry....pull it over there then...or tell someone to...

It would not be so bad, but we have our resident troll, Carboncrank plus a dozen other usernames he has used, whose goal is to destroy every thread that mentions Armstrong. Since CN refuses to get rid of the guy, it's nicer if his idiocy is confined to as few as threads as possible.

has this been posted here already?

I know I have mentioned that I applied for this position from demand studios in the past and was turned down. (I REALLY need the money.)

I'll say it again so people don't just assume what you are saying is true.

I agree that there are too many Lance threads. If someone wants to post something about Lance, don't open a new thread, go to the one that's already here. (there may be exceptions to that if it's something extraordinary)

I don't post under other usernames and I have not intent to destroy anything other than the notion that internet cranks like you can say anything they like unchallenged.

If you have a beef. Take it to a mod and quit being a cry baby.

Quit lying about me.

The same denial you made about every other username you have used...and just as believable.

And between stages he'll be be engaged in satanic rituals and blood sacrifice.

He won't win any stages of the Tour of Ca because he'll be helping his teammate and very good friend Levi Leipheimer who has won the last three.

Earth to troll. This part of the thread was originally another thread.

Well there ya go. You're trying to make people believe i'm trying to destroy this forum and I don't even know how to tell that, let alone what a star system is for.

All I know where I found it.

I guess you are estimating he will win less this year than even I am? And I am a so called lance hater ***...probably too much time spent on the blood sacrifices probably...good luck to your MAN tho...

I wonder how much Carboncrank is being paid. Maybe he takes a few shirtless photos of Armstrong instead of money.

still can't quit being a cry baby.

Why do you waste people time writing these things?

You're last 8 posts here have been jabs at me or someone else with no discussion of cycling what-so-ever.

And you have the nerve to accuse ME of being a troll.

I'll say it again.. you have a problem.. take it to a mod.

I feel bad for people reading this but I will not let a single post like this from him or anybody else go unanswered.
