This was during the Tour de Luxembourg, the first time that LA was in Europe and the first change the, I believe, German press had the possibility to speak about this with him. And the press does not need to think about what the riders want to talk about, especially if it is something the riders never want to talk about. The press is there precisely to ask those questions the people do not want to answer

Doesn't work like that. The media and the cycling press is international and they will all be aware of what has been said and the timeline.

I'm sorry if you were offended but Armstrong can't please everyone.

Precisely. It's refreshing to see a sports reporter with a complete set of balls.

Where in the US was this asked after the Landis story broke? And he is a public figure so the press can question him about any possible indiscretion he might have allegedly conducted and he should remember this. This is a sport rife with doping, it is not unlikely for a reporter to question someone about doping, especially if he is implicated in a large scale doping investigation and has not yet had any interaction with the press about it, only during an American race the majority of Europeans don't give a rats @ss about. So as soon as he is on European soil he will be questioned about it, and rightfully so, until he gives a satisfying answer, something he most likely won't do

BTW Divine no longer states that he is not Arbiter, that's an improvement, isn't it?

True. Ethics and honesty count for a lot with me.

What? He held a big press conference outside the bus at the ToC and was repeatedly asked all of these same questions, and he answered them.

It's fair enough that he doesn't want to be asked the same question at every race. It's not surprising that the media will want to do that, but he doesn't have to play along. I thought he dealt with it the right way.

Nice diversion instead of answering the clear and simple question. I'll have to assume that you DO believe most cycling fans are liars and cheats for not wanting to have every race and interview marred with endless talk about doping allegations.

None asked directly about doping and if they did he did not answer them directly, never has he mentioned his doping since the Landis case opened. SO me a source where such a question was asked and he answered, I dont think you can. The US press was really tame and did not act in a right manner, at least that is my opinion. It is not surprising because many of them are dependant on Armstrong to ensure interest in cycling in the US, but still it is not in the best interest of cycling to take a lenient appraoch

Also he should not have swore, the same people who are defending him now were attacking the booer in Luxemburg because he did it where childern were, you don't think childern watch the german news and know the word fuc?

We just don't want out threads marred with endless troll babble from a buy living in his mom's basement. Is that too much to ask?

Isn't it a better idea not to ban him and just to put him on your ignore list, he comes back everytime anyway.

changing subject.

I refuse to part take in feeding the beast, so I'll respond to you instead of disturbed posters who think we are blaspheming against their God.

LA isn't THE problem, but he is the worst/best example of the problem. The sport, if any of the payoff to uci allegations are substantiated, is truly on the brink of becoming pro-wrestling.

All we need is to know there is evidence that the outcome of some major race was pre-ordained and then stick a fork in it. One whiff of 'What you just saw wasn't real' will flush the whole thing down the tubes.

I imagine somewhere in the world there is legitimate wrestling, but darned if I can find anyone who cares.

I find borders/b&n to be more conducive to mooching off of bandwidth unfettered. Perhaps we should start a new thread on that.

There is a difference between using the F word to the face of a camara and crowd and hiding in a crowd booing. The interviewer was successful he provoked a reaction from Armstrong. The booer was successful in provoking and getting a reaction from Armstrong. Really immature bad behavior from all 3 I think.

What? You want me to provide links to the famous press conference where Armstrong and Bruyneel were asked about the allegations and denied them? Are you serious? They asked about the donation and they denied that as well.

If you didn't know about this then it's no wonder you took offense at Armstrong's reaction.

Get on google.

That's what I mean, people are saying LA handled this in a good manner, yet he swore, when didn't even need to honout the question with an answer, if he didn't want the question to be asked. The reporter can not be blamed here, there is a question concerning doping that needs to be answered in relation to LA, thus he is in his right to ask such a question. The problem is that not more reporters do this so directly, because really any reporter worth their salt who has an interview with LA needs to ask such a question if a scandal such as Landis broke. There is no way you can call the reporter immature
