I have already said he did great to finish after reviewing the video. He is not God, you know. Speaking of him in tones other then reverence is not blasphemy.

If it's no big deal then you won't mind me reminding you that Armstrong had just been in a crash.

Personally I don't see what was awsome about it but whatever floats your boat.

On his twitter he congratulates Andy and Cuddles. No word about Contador and his other former teammates from Astana.

Typically classy Armstrong.

As a matter of fact what he should congratulate them with? Did AC won the stage? Have them thrown additional minutes to Basso, Sastre, Menchov and gained time on Evens p) Shleck? No, again.

They simply did what they were supposed to do. Showed how actually strong they are as a team. No need to congratulate with that -- they know it already.

Especially if during that show they managed to drop you from the main group of contenders.

As I said 3 times now, It is a great sign of God's/Armstrong's character that he got up and finished. That was no small crash. But an image is an image and images speak louder than words, as this back and forth is an eternal testament to that concept. He was pedaling drinking a coke. It's like if Lance isn't in it, then no one on Shack has anything better to do than just kick back, have a soda and shepherd Lance to the top with what? 2 climbs still to go?

I had gone as far to say that as despicably as he treated AC last year, that I did feel sorry for him today. But he can't resist resorting to going low as usual and congratulated AS and Evans. Not a word about his former 'teammate'.

Guess that watch really got to him, huh? Time to give up being charitable towards him, as he has already resorted to the classlessness which he will always have. All the money in the world and he can't buy an ounce of class.

I think Bruyneel and Armstrong's opinion of Contador is one and the same, Armstrong's venom is just what is most frequently circulated due to his Twitter obsession. I'm certain that if they realize Leipheimer has no chance at overall victory they will not hesitate to assist another team in Contador's failure. A Contador win is a Bruyneel/Armstrong major fail. Many are of the belief that Contador's successes are because of Bruyneel's expert tutelage and guidance but the contradiction is that if Armstrong says Contador is "uncoachable", how can Bruyneel be credited with his successes?

Not exactly sure how wiping out hard over your own pedal is actually bad luck, but I know you can rationalize that without much difficulty.

Exactly. That is one of the first things that one learns when racing. I think he's suffered from a lack of focus all season, that would account for all the crashes. After while you have to eliminate bad luck from the equation and lay the blame on the rider.

Given the choice between the celebrity lifestyle and media appearances and seriously preparing to compete at this level, the choice he made has been obvious to a lot of people all along. That's why so many said he wouldn't even start the tdf.

At the risk of being struck by lightning, I actually think it probably was more bad luck than not. He clipped a pedal in the roundabout, not trying to pedal through a 90-degree turn in a crit. It was also his left pedal (he slid from the inside to the outside).

I'm guessing he got pinched over a bit too far, and just kissed the left pedal on the curb. How many of us (especially Americans) have clipped a left pedal, or more importantly either pedal on a curb? Not too many, for sure.

I'm actually gonna give him a pass on this one.

Will I lose my hater membership card over this?
