The Podium Slam

Can include Almeida, Nibali and Valverde in that too.

Giro-Vuelta double, a lost art.

Only thing I can think of is they're so far apart you need to rest up and do base training again while you don't have enough time to do waht you'd normally do in like the winter base training and that sort of stuff.

I still think it's coincidental.

Roglic will win the Vuelta. Unless he doesn't ride it. Or Pogacar or Evenepoel do.

I just checked, and there are now other relevant updates to the list.

But Geraint Thomas just said that he might have some unfinished (almost unstarted) business with the Vuelta, so he might be someone to add later in the year.

Hindley should be able to make a top 10 and be added on the list too after the Tour.
Now or no?
If now, where are they?

Would it not fit the mandate of the thread better if all those with 2 podiums were placed above those with one?

Added Hindley and Adam Yates. Edited Simon Yates.

A slight reworking:
I have (as I proposed after the Giro) made number of podiums (actually, number of different GTs in which they have a podium) as a higher stratum for sorting (Jalabert drops, Fernandez Blanco is biggest gainer);
Where total is the same, I have sorted by number of wins, then 2nds, 3rds etc;
Riders still unseparated are sorted alphabetically (I couldn't see what pattern was there previously);
I have added the slam of top tens but no podium list, sorted in the same way, although I admit that there almost makes this "The top ten slam" (but the inclusion of those with 2 podiums only meant that it wasn't really a podium slam list anymore anyway)

I have given Mollema and Van den Broeck asterisks for the fourth places that are now officially podiums.

I suppose the project would be to make an appendix list of those current riders who have top ten in 2 different GTs, and so could be added in their next attempt.

Riders still unseparated are sorted alphabetically (I couldn't see what pattern was there previously);
Best Tour result, then best Giro result. Finally chronologically.

EDIT: Hmm, I’m not sure if instead it was most prestigious GT for the best result and so on, but I see the two methods would result in the same order for all the ties.

If I understood this correctly and the next order after podiums is sum of placements, then Loroño should actually be placed between Kelderman and Pinot.

So needing a top ten in the Vuelta to appear in this list are: Bardet, Bilbao, Buchmann, Fuglsang, Landa, Thomas and Vlasov;
Yet to top ten the Giro, we have: Barguil, Gaudu, Gesink, Martin (G), Mas, Meintjes, O'Connor, Pogacar, Rodriguez, Sanchez;
Hoping to appear by getting in the top ten of the Tour: Almeida, Arensman, Bennett (G), Carthy, Majka and Pozzovivo.

Some of those seem to be only a matter of time, others seem highly unlikely. It's always possible that I have missed somebody (If Bob Jungels were to get a top ten in the Vuelta, we could have an argument about whether he ascended to 10th in last year's Tour after Quintana's results were removed).

Thomas and Vlasov are, I think, expected to ride in the forthcoming Vuelta, and should both have a good chance of making their appearance here.

.
Only fair he is included however unlikely he is to get a top 10 in Vuelta considering Lulu got it from Contedor and Menchov being banned in 2010. So if Lulu’s counts then Jungels does as well if Quintana’s 2018 results are banned. Last year Jungels moved up to 11th with the Quintana ban.
