What an utterly astonishing, unprecedented day in the 4th round of the FA Cup.

The nrs. 1,2,3 and 6 of the Prem league all lost at home, the nrs. 4 and 8 drew and have to replay. Nrs. 5 and 7 play tomorrow, including my Hammers live on BBC1. The Beeb clearly thinks that this could be an upset, whi8ch is why it's on.

Dutch fans can enjoy an early double bill tomorrow, Ajax-Feyenoord followed by the Hammers.:D

Bayern lose and concede four tonight when beforehand they only conceded four all season.

Very good game.

I think Chelsea never should have sold due Bruyne. Every time I see him he impresses me. I think he's a better player than Willian and I would take him over Cuadrado as well.

Seldom in football history has one team losing given so much pleasure and satisfaction to so many.:D

I have nothing 'with' PSG, but both Mourinho's tactics, and the behavior of the Chelsea players tonight, were shameful beyond words, and a disgrace to the game.

I thought hey... cycling is 30 mins to go, so why not kill the time in between with watching some Bundesliga. Why not, havnt seen any soccer since the WC.
So I get in... 20 seconds into the coverage of Hoffenheim vs Hamburg... and what do I see? A flying pretender barely touched by a defender > Red Card and penalty shot. Geez! That was that... Watta farce. I turned off the TV.

Edit: Ofc the team having one player more than the opponent won the game.

Barcelona was unstoppable, could have scored 5/6 goals if Hart wouldn't have been so amazing.City needs to do something,is getting ridiculed in Champions League every year and that defence

Messi was a class above anyone else on the pitch last night

His first half last night was simply stellar, out of this world. I saw a comment elsewhere that really struck me - Messi needs to be filmed by as many 3-D cameras as possible whenever he plays, so that what he does can be preserved in great detail for future generations of footy fans.

I saw Pele play, and of course, Cruijff and Maradonna. They were all stars with amazing qualities, yet I am convinced that none of them was as complete a footballer as Leo is. I have no doubt at all that we are privileged to watch the greatest player there has ever been.

Below is a priceless clip of footy fan Guardiola's reaction to Messi nutmegging Milner. :D

An Italian court has officially declared Serie A club Parma bankrupt. :(
The club have plunged into financial difficulties over the last few months after it emerged that the Italian outfit have racked up debts worth around €100m (£72.2m).
They could end up in the fourth league.

And to think that in 1999 they were fielding these guys:

Barcelona: Bravo - Alves, Pique, Mathieu, Alba - Rakitici, Mascherano, Iniesta - Suarez, Messi, Neymar

Real Madrid: Casillas - Carvajal, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo - Modrici, Kroos, Isco - Bale, Benzema, C.Ronaldo

Not a big fun of either of these, but a great match can't be missed.Anyway i hope for goals galore.

This was certainly no classic 'Classico', but I still felt positive after Real looked stronger in the first half, for the simple reason that every single thing I wanted, or hoped for, this weekend went my way.

My Hammers won yesterday.
Marcel Hirscher won the men's overall world cup for a record fourth consecutive season, which makes him one of the all time greats of the sport.
Anna Fenninger won the women's overall world cup by winning this morning's last race of the season. (I support Austria in skiing.)
Then, when one of my personal favorites, John Degenkolb, won the Primavera too, I knew I was on a roll.
Ajax then won the late Dutch game.
Barca were nailed on. If only I had done an accumulator.

Don't get me wrong, I love Messi much more than Maradona, but I am going to have to disagree with you because purely as a footballer I think Maradona is the best I have ever seen, he was less dependent on the players around him than Pele, Cruyff or Messi.

Russia gk Akinfeev was hit by a flare in the abandoned match with Montenegro in Podgorica

Those dumb people should be sent to jail and never allowed on a football match again.Lucky for him Akinfeev seems to have escaped with minor injuries.
