Progressively giving up on Football [...]

Eheh I gave up on it when I was almost 19. World Cup 2002. Never watch a match ever since and I can hardly name one player of our national team and I feel much better this way I think.

You still have a year to go, mate. :p But lol, how come we are so much alike!

Juventus : Buffon - Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini - Lichtsteiner, Marchisio, Pirlo, Vidal, Evra , Tevez,Morata.

Real Madrid: Casillas - Carvajal, Pepe, Varane, Coentrao - James ,Isco, Sergio Ramos, Kroos,- Bale, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Not a fan of either of these,I was never cheering for Juventus before, but in this game i hope they get the win.
Forza ragazzi!

This should have been the finale :( visca el barca!

Indeed, it should have been. We are all privileged to be able to watch the greatest player of all time at the height of his powers.

I've seen plenty of better matches from Messi (Barça was sometimes playing with 10 again because he was walking so much), but yes, some moments of sheer brilliance.

Great match it was, but I felt sorry for Pep and Bayern. They didn't deserve this. Barça missed some big chances and 'deserved' to be ahead in the first half, but right at the moment when Bayern was taking over total control of the game, bam, Messi scores out of nothing. Must be a bitter pill to swallow for Bayern.

Bayern played really bad in this and didn't deserved more from it .The possession they had wasn't used to create any danger at Barca's goal.Neuer saved some dangerous situations but since the defence was a joke the goals appeared in the end. Messi stepped in at right time and Barca barring any disaster is in the final.I think Guardiola tactic was bad for this and counted more then the crappy performance delivered by his players.

That's it. Nothing more.

So I don't really feel sorry. Barcelona was superior in every aspect.

True, but 3-0 was too much. And let's not forget which players they had to miss.

What? not many teams go to Camp Nou and play with so little fear. 1vs1 at the back against Messi-Suarez-Neymar, that takes some cojones. Of course this could have backfired quickly if Suarez scored (Pep immediately changed to 4 defenders after that), but they played with high pressing and that's why we got a great game.

Actually, in the 2nd half Bayern were gaining more and more control in midfield imo (hence the frustration from Neymar for example). But then Messi wakes up and it's game over. Not much you can do against it really.

Well if you are Bayern you are not suppose to play like Cordoba,so you are expected to don't give a *** about playing on Camp Nou or elsewhere. One scoring opportunity in an entire game and useless possession doesn't say much at this level really. What control in midfield, the midfield didn't worked this game,so many balls lost.Maybe the score was a bit harsh but that's it,fully deserved win for Barcelona.

What control in midfield? The one why Messi was invisible for most of the 2nd half and why Neymar was visibly frustrated. Yes they only had 1 real chance, but they were missing Robben and Ribéry which obviously makes a HUGE difference especially since Barça is quite vulnerable in defense. You think Barça would create much more if they were playing away against Bayern without Messi and Neymar? Because I don't.

That would be pretty crazy..

But not more crazy then Germany trashing Brazil 5-0 before half time at WC..

This was never going to be a real contest, so it was noble of Barca to let Bayern take a close win on the night. Tomorrow will be a 'proper' game.

Would have been nice to see Bayern humiliated once again, Barça certainly could have done it, but in the end it was probably better for them not to. Several Bayern players like Rafinha and Thiago were on the verge of a nervous breakdown by half time, I don't think Messi would have made it off the field if they had continued to humiliate them

Not a chance for Bayern, not with that defence, after Barca first goal it was game over. It's a big difference between Heynckes team and today Bayern.I know they missed those key players, but imo Guardiola is not the right man for this team.Bayern had lost their soul since he was appointed.Despite of domestic success, some decent results in Europe still i think Guardiola's tactics are not suitable with Bayern players qualities .Anyway got to say,Barcelona looks these days really good, even if not a fan they are a joy to watch.

don't underestimate that the quality of your defense also depends very much on your attacking strength (and vice-versa of course).
Bayern lacking Robben and Ribery not only means less fire power, it also means less relief and thus extra pressure on Bayern's own defense.
Then they lacked Alaba as well.
Especially Robben and Alaba had been the two stand-out players of the first half of the season for Bayern.
I don't know what the talk about tactics in the press is all about.
This was not about tactics, it was about Bayern missing their most crucial players, and other crucial players (Lahm mainly, but also Schweinsteiger and Lewandowski, Benathia) only just having recovered from injuries. Very simple, imo.
And a true pity.
With Robben(/Ribery)/Alaba not injured, this could well have been one of the most epic and high-quality semi final play-offs the Champions League had ever seen.

Real Madrid: Cassillas,Carvajal, Pepe, Sergio Ramos, Marcelo,James, Kroos, Isco,Bale, Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo

Juventus: Buffon,Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chellini, Evra ,Pirlo,Marchisio, Pogba, Vidal,Tevez, Morata

So Juventus last team which stands against Real and a new El Clasico.I know the chances are low, very low but anyway:Forza ragazzi!

I will join you just this once in supporting Juve, a team I otherwise detest, for two reasons - I have disliked Real since the days of Franco, and because of Carlitos, a true West Ham Legend.
