There was a short article about his revalidation, and that he hopes he can train outside 3-4 February. Reason they didn't train outside yet was because the shocks would have too much impact on his shoulder.

What I don't understand, but someone else here might know. Why doesn't he do proper long trainings indoor? Is that just not realistic? Sure it's probably extremely boring, but physically it should be possible?
I don't know, there's very little info at the moment.

I would assume there's still a lot of kine/physio work on the shoulder going on so maybe there's just not that much time to do long indoor rides. Or maybe it's still not physically possible/advisable to do long rides.

Also, I don't think he uploads every ride he does to Zwift.

We should know more by next week.

I don't think people realize/appreciate the damage to his shoulder. This wasn't a simple collarbone break. There is no healing for torn ligaments.
Roglic got heavy surgery in mid october 2022, and the team was sceptical he could be back to top form by the Giro. Even racing Tirreno was ahead of schedule.

Now obviously injuries are different, but it's pretty clear that 'just do indoor training with arm in resting position' is just not a thing.

This is why I think either there is a little bit of BS going on, or that he is getting some silly advice. There is really no reason why he cannot do indoor training. Sure, he might have to modify it or shorten it, but he could be doing it, it's not like it needs to be 100% rest. And we know some people have done very well after extended periods of indoor training.

I often wonder how it is possible that Remco with his relatively little thigh flesh can beat Ganna‘s masses of thigh flesh so often in ITTs… I mean where does Remco take the power from? He‘s just amazing.

He absolutely does not have the same power as Ganna. But he has a lower cda which is very handy at high speeds. His time trial position is extremely low thanks to his build and mobility.

Oh dear, I couldn't get past minute 4 because this is just too cringe to watch. Wished he just stayed with bike riding instead of acting like an influencer or whatever. Is there really an audience for this?
I like watching it. It gives you an insight in day to day life of riders. I get that from the moment he needs to host and talk about what he’s doing, it’s very cringeworthy. He doesn’t have that presence at all. Completely different from when you interview him after a race. But I can look past that just to see how his recovery is going.

With a bit over 2 months to go till season debut, Remco is riding at around 33 Km/u for a length of 100 Km.
Still quite a bit of work left, but he reached the 100 km mark again.µ

I do hope he wins the Brabantse Pijl cause with Pogacar suiting up for every other race he's currently sheduled to enter he'll have a hard time getting a win in this year i fear, what with him coming back from injury again, versus a healthy pogacar. I mean if Remco had stayed injury free, i think those races would end up actual battles. Now i think his biggest chance is weirdly the waalse pijl. Cause timing and draft is key on the final. I mean Pogacar should smoke everyone in theory there, but somehow that is the race i think Evenepoel has the biggest odds against Pogacar this spring.
