People were and are still hopeful remco can get closer in the mountains. Reducing the time lost in the mountains by half would already be major.

Max's personality isn't a specific attribute to Red Bull F1 as much as the cars and organization. Now that the rankings reflect a performance decline it seems he is primarily just surly. Remco engages with other riders and yes, does speak his mind but he doesn't spend much time bashing competitors and whining about his fate. I would say he's more marketable as long as he remembers he's on a team.
Remco is a team player so that will be fine. I was only referring to his outspoken personality that resembles Max a bit but not in a negative way of bashing competitors. Remco is a bit a "Dutch" Belgian. He says in all honesty what he thinks out loud. It's a bit uncommen for the average Belgian.

Although for the Tour Remco was being realistic when talking about the podium, but some fans ignored what he himself said and saw him as more of a rival to Pogacar and surpassing Vingegaard in the mountains.
I haven’t seen anyone saying this. Can you quote them?

Remco in a long post on Instagram talked about a broken rib at the Belgian champs and exhaustion in the build-up to the Tour, due to lacking winter base after the incident and thus always chasing form, which never really arrived. But he didn't want to not start the Tour.

If what he's saying now is the whole truth, then he was running on hopium, which is understandable.

He finished the Tour with a stage win and empty legs, but more importantly, no crashes and no injuries. So it wasn't a total loss. It may actually be a learning episode in his career.

At 2024 he was unanimously considered 3rd best. Depending on the Vuelta 2025 he may drop a few places. It's up to him to put in the work during the winter so he can come back stronger in 2026 and show us his new level.

San Sebastian is now off his schedule on PCS. If anyone was holding their breath.
Was too be expected, wonder when they’ll announce his new schedule. He should follow WVA to Deutschland Tour. He can help Magnier get some wins there

Wouldn't it have made more sense for Red Bull to just buy QS? Tey seem to want to go through the trouble of turning the former Bora team into QS 2.0
Belgium needs a Belgian team.

It is known with a very high degree of certainty that the German team will sign Mattia Cattaneo who was Evenepoel's right-hand man at this Tour until his withdrawal, and also former Belgian national coach Sven Vanthourenhout. But according to La Dernière Heure the team will also sign Quick-Step DS Klaas Lodewyck, team mechanic Dario Kloek and soigneur David Geeroms.
Would be absolutely great!!!! As long as Remco stays in QS.

Everything of that story is fine except Lodewyck. He doesn’t need a DS-yes-man

Bro I was about to quote this exact thing. Im sure Logic is thrilled about Klaas joining Remco at Bora!
Yeah man, i'm celebrating right now, with 10 hookers, half a kilo of snort and a crate of wodka.

the team may as well be called Red Bull - Quickstep at this point
Bit of an exaggeration. A team employs 75-100 people, without the riders. Evenepoel taking along his soigneur who he has known since he was a child, his mechanic and a director doesn't really change much.
