Are you serious?? How could avoiding a crash in 2024 help him win the Tour in 2022 or 2023??
Without the two crashes I mentioned I think he NOW perhaps could be at the level of Pogi until 2023. That level would not be enough to challenge Pogacar in 2025 (which is the only Tour after the second crash I mentioned).
Yes, ok, I don’t think he would have been on Pogacars level in 23, but you do, though according to you about ten minutes ago ‘ don’t be a troll because no one ever said that’

You are either trolling or completely ignorant to what I actually write.
When I’m saying he possibly could reach the level of Pogi up until 2023 that doesn’t mean I believe he would’ve won enough races to be at Merckx/Pogi level. It should actually be very easy for you to understand this.
It’s fine, I don’t think he possibly would have been at that level in 23, you do, that level of which was already getting on for Merckx/great grand tour rider level wasn’t it.

I believe he could be. It’s all just guessing. But yes, that is what I’m saying. And Remco being on Pog2023 level would still not be enough to challenge Pog in the Tour now. It could perhaps be enough to challenge Vingegaard.
Apologies if I misinterpreted you, I simply don’t think he *could* ever have been at a potential tour winning level up to this point, in the future that might change

I'm not entirely sure if anyone has ever claimed Remco "should" have won a TDF by now. I remember reading many posts about how Remco just isn't a GT rider (despite having won a GT). Again, I certainly don't think it's a forgone conclusion he will ever win the TDF but I don't find it implausible (would likely be due to injuries/decline in Pog and Jonas) but it could happen. He could also add another Vuelta and a Giro. For someone who's "not a GT rider" that wouldn't be bad at all. And yes, I do believe if he hadn't had the crashes then the gap to close would have been a bit less.

So, if Pogi hadn't crashed out of LBL 2023, Pogi would have won. Because Remco could have reached Pogi's 2023 level 2025.
Pogacar definitively could have won that. Same as he could’ve won the Olympics last year. But I think it’s also fair to say that the difference in level between Pogi and Remco are much smaller in races with less meters of climbing than in the high mountains, so even if Pogi without the crash would’ve been the favorite it’s not given, like it is in a Grand Tour between them.

And I’ve had mostly the Tour level in mind when talking about the level of Pogacar before 2024 season. It’s of course very hard to compare year to year, but I don’t believe Remcos Tourlevel in 2024 was far away from Pogacars Tour level 2020-2023, and that without the postman crash he could’ve been slightly better this year. But then again, the level of Pogi last year and this year are something completely different,
