Pretty sure the real Merckx didn't do thatThe real Merckxx would have done the double
Now we know the real reason he’s skipping Lombardia:

30k of Contador post were the same and LaFlo.Half of these posts were just people hoping he would fail lol
Are we really crapping on FlowerPower when he took the money to help Ineos’s GC bid?And even Kwiatkowski once became World Champion.
He was still 23 when he started the Giro in '69 (which he didn't finish), but he was 24 by the time the Tour started.Pretty sure the real Merckx didn't do that
LBL has been won by Maxim Iglinskiy before. The Vuelta was once won by Papy Horner. And even Kwiatkowski once became World Champion.

Ok, but who won all three in one year, at 22 years of age?
And what do you mean with "even Kwiatkowski" btw? He is an excellent cyclist, and well worthy of winning the WC. I don't think he should be mentioned in such a context at all.

Yeah but he's also very aero; none of his head goes about the windscreen.
Looking at how strong Mas was today in Lombardia and in these last Italian races, makes one realize how formidable Remco was to distance him in the mountains at the Vuelta. Looks like next year is going to be quite the spectacle. Let's hope for some epic battles between the Bigs.
Plus the “elder” rider of the GC contending trio is only 25, we got ourselves an absolutely golden era coming up for cycling. The two best cyclists in the world are 22 and 24 yo. Sign of new times. Hopefully more battles between them in the future, very few races together this year.
Hopefully it lasts longer than Contador and Andy did.Plus the “elder” rider of the GC contending trio is only 25, we got ourselves an absolutely golden era coming up for cycling.
