How good the individuals are says just about nothing about how good it operates in a TTT. Froome, Thomas, Kwiatkowski, Castroviejo, Bernal, Rowe, Poels and Moscon put a mere 3 seconds into Gilbert, Alaphilippe, Gaviria, Richeze, Declercq, Terpstra, Jungels and Lampaert over 35 kilometers. That same Sky team lost a TTT to Goss, Gerrans, Impey, Tuft, Albasini, Clarke, Lancaster, O'Grady and C. Meyer. Movistar would regularly win TTTs in La Vuelta.

yes, typically explosive guys tend to do well in a TTT. Guy like Alla, Gilbert, Gerrans, Impey, Ogrady, ...
That and of course tactics/how they ride together/form of the people.

But I don't see any explosive guys in the SQS group either. I think they need at least 2 people to hang on for dear life. All in all i think Roglic/vingegaard will have taken time on stage 1 of the Vuelta :). I hope all of you are right and it won't be 20seconds.

Cerny & cattaneo = cavagna & van wilder
Cerny isn't listed in the post above though. I do see him listed on PCS start list, so yeah he could be good addition for the team in general.

It's a circuit with a fair amount of turns on a short distance. The team that wishes to push the turns the hardest, has a good chance of winning. I see about three sections where real time trial specialists can unleash their power. Otherwise, there isn't much room to really gain much time. It's a bit like Glasgow in that sense. Every time you're up to speed you'd have to brake again because there's a turn coming up.
