Big 6 and Jorgenson.
He should suffer mentally knowing his peers have prepared themselves better.
Not only them. A lot of other people too. I don't think Remco suffers mentally, he's actually quite strong mentally. He showed this a couple of times last year.

I don't think Pog has already done an altitude camp this year but maybe I missed it?

Vingegaard and basically the whole Visma team have definitely been at altitude though yes.
I wasn't sure, I thought he did, but not sure.

Doing altitude camps too often or more than 3-4 weeks continuous results in a loss of muscle mass. You need to have a scientific strategy with performance data tracking to find the sweat spot for each rider. I am sure Visma has this all worked out while other teams do more guess work.
It's the first thing I hear about the effect on muscle mass. I hope SQS will book Remco a room for 2 months to get rid of some of that bulk he's carrying.

Remco didn’t want to go on altitude and be away from home for that long. Mentally it does a lot for him to be close to his wife, in Calpe, so he decided to do that for the spring part of the season.

It's mostly because he wants to be as fresh as possible in the summer where his main objectives are.

Van der poel, pog also didn't altitude camp. Not every rider benefits from many altitude camps.

Maybe just one altitude camp is before the Tour is the perfect buildup for them.

I read an article last week where a coach from a WT team said that there's even riders who never go for altitude because they're body get's worse.

Pog and Remco can also have some hypobaric chamber, i don't know.

Maybe you are right, because the breakdown in the Vuelta... was most likely a mental one more than anything else.

But... if he is best self being close to home with his wife, family and friends for most of the time outside of racing. Then he should be doing that. It is his life.
Indeed. We are not dealing with robots here... although, if Pogacar was exposed as the first humanoid robot I wouldn't be surprised either 😄
