You think Remco wouldn't have done better without his crashes? He would have the same palmares? He didn't lose any development or chances at some races? This is more or less what I’m trying to say also

I never come in bad faith , I only make my opinion that Remco is a great rider, but not one of the greats. Pogacar is one of the greats. The fans of Remco seem to believe he is on a level of Pogacar and Merckx, that is even the title of this thread, and I disagree that’s all
The title of this thread was a joke which I imagine whoever made it probably regrets to this very day. As for the rest, we will see, his progress has stalled somewhat and he may never achieve the potential he had but he has had many injuries which have clearly hampered him. Some due to his bike handling skills, fine, but others are also just bad luck.I never come in bad faith , I only make my opinion that Remco is a great rider, but not one of the greats. And better is Pogi/Merckx levelYou think Remco wouldn't have done better without his crashes? He would have the same palmares? He didn't lose any development or chances at some races?
Why does it have to be such an extreme example? Without the crashes he may not have been at Pogacar's level but he would probably have been at a better level than he is currently (which is already pretty good). But Remco fans believe Remco could've done better, hadn't it been for all those crashes and bad luck.
And better is almost Pogi level, right?
A bit better , but I don’t think they much would change no, not near winning the tour or anything. You think Remco wouldn't have done better without his crashes? He would have the same palmares? He didn't lose any development or chances at some races?
I wrote, 'almost'. But you don't think Remco wouldn't have been almost? Why does it have to be such an extreme example? Without the crashes he may not have been at Pogacar's level but he would probably have been at a better level than he is currently (which is already pretty good).
Yes to the first and no to the second. “A lot better” is needed for “almost Pogi level. But Remco fans believe Remco could've done better, hadn't it been for all those crashes and bad luck.

IMO probably not for the Tour but definitely more competitive in one day races like LBL.I wrote, 'almost'. But you don't think Remco wouldn't have been almost?
How about changing the title?
Why can’t you say where you think he’s be?Instead of labelling me or any one else as a troll, or a Remco hater, or changing the thread, why don’t someone who’s a big fan of Remco say where they think he’d be if hadn’t had all the crashes etc
So, there we are, you’ve essentially just said you think he’d be capable of winning the tour up to 2023, and I don’t think he would.Yes to the first and no to the second. “A lot better” is needed for “almost Pogi level.
I can only speak for myself, but believe reaching Pogi until 2023 level could maybe be possible without the two biggest crashes (Lombardia crash and the Postman crash), but Pogi 2024 and 2025 level is completely out of this world and I think no cyclist, not even Merckx have been close to this level before and it will probably never again in my lifetime (hopefully meaning the next 50 years or so) be anyone close.
No 2020 crash => would have won Giro 2021A bit better , but I don’t think they much would change no, not near winning the tour or anything.
And that is your biggest weakness.I'm the only one who has the balls to keep changing thread titles.
I think already have, a few more big one day races, possibly another vuelta or something, I can’t really see anything elseWhy can’t you say where you think he’s be?
Personally, without the "bad luck" he's had (and you're free to agree or not whether that is the case), I think he would at least have had an extra GT (probably Giro); I don't think he would have won the TDF (but I don't consider it impossible that he may in the future). Possibly a Lombardia in his Palmares.Instead of labelling me or any one else as a troll, or a Remco hater, or changing the thread, why don’t someone who’s a big fan of Remco say where they think he’d be if hadn’t had all the crashes etc

Are you serious?? How could avoiding a crash in 2024 help him win the Tour in 2022 or 2023??So, there we are, you’ve essentially just said you think he’d be capable of winning the tour up to 2023, and I don’t think he would.
It’s okay to disagree
He would've won Lombardia 2020 to start. Not sure about Giro 2020 since he was only 20 years old. If I'm really bullish, he might've won Giro 2021, and Olympic gold that same year.Instead of labelling me or any one else as a troll, or a Remco hater, or changing the thread, why don’t someone who’s a big fan of Remco say where they think he’d be if hadn’t had all the crashes etc
NONONO YOU BELIEVE HE WOULDVE WON 5 TOURSHe would've won Lombardia 2020 to start. Not sure about Giro 2020 since he was only 20 years old. If I'm really bullish, he might've won Giro 2021, and Olympic gold that same year.
But you literally just said it…That is of course all right. I don’t have a problem at all with what you think about Remco. However, I have a huge problem with you making up things like “Remco fans believes X and Y” and then you can’t back it up because no one ever said (in this forum) what you claim they believe.
In my eyes that is trolling.
Right, yeah that too, but wasn't that implied when I say he would've won Lombardia 2020?NONONO YOU BELIEVE HE WOULDVE WON 5 TOURS
Yes, ok, I don’t think he would have been on Pogacars level in 23, but you do, though according to you about ten minutes ago ‘ don’t be a troll because no one ever said that’Are you serious?? How could avoiding a crash in 2024 help him win the Tour in 2022 or 2023??
Without the two crashes I mentioned I think he NOW perhaps could be at the level of Pogi until 2023. That level would not be enough to challenge Pogacar in 2025 (which is the only Tour after the second crash I mentioned).
